Granny Gear - CJ here! Great review. I’ve been using this since I last saw you. Thanks for the application tips and the intervals to reapply. I’ll be adding those into my regimen.

The right lube and the right application make your drive train last for ages. I've tried this lube and it is really nice. Nice Video.

So do you have to/need to use the Smooth-Move before moving on to one of the other lubes like you add as needed?
I appreciate your info and experience.

Can you tell us how often you apply it and how quickly you go through a 14 ounce bottle?

I would say that I apply it every three rides or so, based on a gravel bike doing 1-3 hour rides each time. Now I mostly use the 53/11 formula as it stays quieter longer.
I think it takes a couple hundred miles to get the chain really treated with it and then it lasts longer in between applications. There is a new formula out that might be even longer lasting, but I have yet to try it. Soon though.
It's hard to say how long the bottles last as I have two of us in the house using it across multiple bikes.
I will say that the cost is, in my experience, offset by no need to buy de-greaser ($), chains and cassettes last longer ($$$), and the time spent cleaning my chain and bike (priceless).
EDIT: Make sure you use the brush to get it into the rollers and let it dry pretty well before riding.

@@oldguyandabike Thanks! Sounds about right, i'm using 53/11 on my CC and Road bikes and going through a bottle a month. We shall see if i can dial that back after they are fully seasoned like a cast iron skillet! lol I still say he could corner the market by just making the bottles 6 or 8 oz......
