@@generationofbmx Yes sir. It's a 1886 Redline RL-20 II. I think Redline was the only company running 5 inch head tubes. Would love to see Redline release modernized versions of their bikes, like Haro did with the Lineage line.
@@AmazingChinaToday maybe you can contact Pat over at Flatlandfuel and tell him your thinkin about runnin a headset conversion on an old RL20ii with a new school fork and ask him which one of his new school forks has a fork with that length.
I think this is what I’m looking for. How do I contact the person who made this conversion kit without going on bmxmuseum? Do you have a direct contact?
Man that turned out great. Your Performer looks awesome! I also have a 91 Performer... Think I might do the conversion as well. 👍
Fun project and the bike rides so much better!
Thank you for sharing! I have a 91 lava red performer and appreciate the info shared
No problem
nice job, does this work on all 1" bmx bikes ? (i got a 95 GT with 1" headset) what headset to convert to 1 1/8?
Yes it can work on all 1” Bmx. I got the headset from a member on the Bmxmuseum website. His name there is Chattymatty.
First! I have that same GT mallet. I like it.
I had to get one and find a way to use it. It’s time for Gt to come out with some Retros like Haro did.
Awesome! Is there a modern fork to fit a Redline with a 5 inch head tube? I think the GT has a 4 inch head tube.
A 5” headtube? What year and model frame is it?

@@AmazingChinaToday cool. Good luck!
Dope!
Thnx
Where do you buy those headsets?
I mentioned it in the video! On the Bmxmuseum there’s a member there that makes and sells them.

@@generationofbmx Thanks man, I decided to signup and send chattymatty a message. Much appreciated!
