- Takis found Grioula in the first year that he run the shelter. She was chained for 10-11 years to a barell. Takis freed her and they became inseperable. Grioula was not spayed because she was too old. The doctor said she is too old to have puppies. But in 2016 Grioula suprised Takis by having a puppy, Valentina. Unfortunately Valentina died from parvo. Grioula continued on with a lot of energy even if she is very old. And in 2019 she suprised Takis again by having another puppy, Grioulaki. She had Grioulaki at age 16!!!They are the sweetest couple and they are always together.

The 1st pup died, Valentina, but I can't help myself believing that indeed that was why she had the 2nd little cutie with the magnificent EARS, to give her another baby to care for and to feel needed.....I think in some way it actually just might make mama live longer, having those little ones. I cried when the 1st baby died but I'm glad he's keeping mama and whatever baby she brings to him together. They are all so precious! To see how they've ALL been starved and on death's door, abused and neglected and treated horribly by us humans yet they all learn to wag those tails and smile from ear-to-ear!!! God bless you, Takis, and thank you for blessing all of us with these wonderful rescues!!!! Beautiful pooches that thankfully finally know what it means to be LOVED. 💓

I wonder how Valentina got parvo in the shelter. She looks so healthy in these videos and none of the other dogs had it or I am sure it would have the treatment would have been shown in the daily videos.

When I was younger (I can't remember details), somehow our dog contracted distemper while pregnant. All the pups ended up passing away, but we were vigilant about doing our dogs meds and forcing her to eat and drink. Miraculously, our dog survived. My mom "loved" animals, but had a hood mentality and didn't always do the most basic & necessary things besides food and water. Now I try to be the opposite of my mom, and help older neighbors and uneducated pet owners to get their dogs vaccinated and sterilized. A few dollars or borrowing a car to take pets to a wellness clinic is nothing compared to the suffering rabies, distemper, parvo etc causes.

K. Marland she came to us sick. Most of her litter was wiped out. She was vaccinated afterward but she was in the pet hospital for a week. Broke my heart. But to see her today I appreciate every slobbery tennis ball, every face lick. She’s a miracle. That’s why I love this channel. This guy loves to help dogs who were failed by circumstance or their humans. He knows that the love of a dog is worth it. That’s why this guy is amazing in my opinion.
