The consequences for torturing and abusing animals are not nearly enough. These abusers should suffer the same fate they inflicted on their victims. Tie then to a 3-foot chain for ten years, surrounded by their own feces, starve them and make them drink from a dirty, bacteria-filled bucket.

The black dog loves you, Takis, and will go with you eyerywhere. And he will be your best friend. I had to cry when I saw this. All the dogs are in heaven now. I hope, the people who did this must be punished and never be allowed to keep dogs again.

I'm not rich but last pay I had 20 bucks extra.. so I sent it to Takis shelter -next month will try to do the same and whenever I can. Not much- but if lots other folks do the same it all adds up ..we can be those dogs godmothers and godfathers from afar.

I feed stray dogs morning and night time. Even its late at night, walking or using my bike just to feed at least 4 dogs for the past year already. 1 of them died feeling the loved and cared that it needed bec I take care of it. even paid a man just to buried the dog. I even put bowl of water in front of our house I refill it morning and night time, coz sometimes even lunch time cats drink from it (summer time) . I have bonded with the dogs that I feed they follow me everytime I go to the store or bought food for them,
they keep on running and playing 🤣😁 while me, calling them by names that I gave to them, we have the best days of our life that I will treasure for ever☺️
P. S
Also a dog that is left at a house tied in the gate, noticed that the owner is not leaving their anymore, I guess so. coz morning and night time I passed by 🙄 So what I do, I feed and gave water every evening and noticed that the dog is pregnant 😢imagine that 😭 after 3 weeks of giving food the house was rented and the dog was given to the guard.

if i am not mistaken they must be cretan shepherds with sheeps and goats.the cruel practice they still do is called barrel dogs.they chain the poor dogs next to barrels for all their life and use them as tools without a care if they live or die or their wellbeing.the barrels are on certain points so after the flock of sheeps come out from their home to go for eating ,the barks of the dogs scare them and they go on the route the shepard wants and can come back same way afterwards.In few words its the cruelty but also the boredom and indifference of the Cretan sheep owner to go out on field and do his f job properly.
if u google barrel dogs crete u ll get the idea whats going on.Unfortunately for us here in greece the law enforcement is ridiculous.we have laws and very strict lately for the better but noone is willing to really enforce them so things would change drastically.same with Santorini donkeys.the poor animals go up and down all day with enormous weight on their backs,tourists and their luggages under 40C temprature and a lot of beating from the mafia who governs this monstrosity for profit.
Everyone knows all that here in Greece and these keep going for far more than a decade.Both matters have even gone on foreign news thanks to some sensitive souls of tourists.
And yet nothing ever changes.i assume the reasons are two.the profit and and the local small societies where the cop has to drink his damn ouzo with the shepard next day.
instead of giving him a fine of 30.000 euros as the law demands for each animal.If u or anybody else ever happen to visit greece pls take into consideration these matters and anything else you see.document and expose anything you see so one day maybe something changes and these animals stop living the hell they do.
