Finally -- RUclips accordion instruction that is well produced. Your video jump cuts are perfect, you've done a voiceover afterwards so you're not fumbling around during the song. It is clear what keys you are pressing and you mention the notes. I hope many other channels take note and model your teaching style, it's quote possibly the best I've seen on RUclips so far.

I learned something today. I can slow the videos down. Duh! I should have known that before. I appreciate being told. This fella is the best accordion teacher that I've seen yet online. I'm not rewinding continually to see what he's doing. Keep putting in new reels because I love your selection as well, Tony! Learning this one after I get down the Road to Lisdoonvarna.

This is my personal goal to reach before I die. I did not know this information or the point of the 72 bass. I love this accordion. Video is well done.

Thank you very much for your demonstration and explanation! When melody on right hand piano style keyboard manual only played without accompaniment on left hand button type manual it sounds like playing melody on mouth-harmonica. When melody on right hand manual with bass notes and chords on left hand button type manual simultaneously played it sounds like woodwind quintet. When primary melody on right hand piano style keys and secondary melody on single bass note buttons on left hand side simultaneously played it gives the effect duet of mouth-harmonica and tenor saxophone. So I like accordion music for such effects.

Great tune. I've pretty much got the right hand down but matching up the left hand with it is a problem even at at 1/4 speed. If I new what was in each measure it would be a cinch. I think I will eventually sort it out.

Thank you so much I have done 4 songs for 48 bass with your lessons. Now I am doing Tam Lin. Quite hard, I am slowing down to 0.5 to put in my ears.

Great video! I'm learning the accordion and it's much more easy for me to play the minor chords with the middle finger than the index finger. I noticed that you also used your middle finger at 9:35. Is that something you wouldn't recommend, or does it depend on the hand size and whats feeling well?

As long as it doesn’t negatively affect your ability to play, id say its fine! Especially if it helps you

What a beautiful accordion! Love the color! I have a white mother-or-pearl Glorich with gold sparkle instead of black keys and 120 bass. I have had it since I was around 7 years old so, the keys are too narrow for me now. I'm looking for something more suited to my adult fingers. I don't really need 120 bass either.

Thanks for this lesson, I've been following it well enough but would love to have the sheet music, especially for the piano part. Please could you put this up? Thanks. Also, from the sheet music for this piece online, the start is very different, no repeated notes...is yours a particular version.

Cape Breton is pronounced Cape "BRET-in", with the accent on the first syllable. You should go there sometime, its pretty great. The Celtic Colours festival in October is one of the best times for a musician to go, but you can hear traditional music all year at any number of small dances or concerts. The chording is a little different from the "Oooom - Chuck" happening here...
