I like how their boss fight is going with good communication, my boss fights are filled with jokes to stop us from rage quitting the game or just to chill the mood after those kind of boss fights.
the hippo ate so much now he built like shadow
I'd recommend getting more health to avoid getting one-shot by almost everything
There are other things that can help against this
Like the Scadutree levels which boosts both damage and damage resistances or buffs from either spells or items like the cooked prawn to raise defense if i remember (though buffs aren't very easy to use mid-fight as you can imagine)
Some enemy grabs can also be mashed out of ^^
You can practice against the iron maiden enemies if you are unfamiliar with this, though i have no idea if that hippo can be mashed out of
I do agree that the grab has some dark souls 2 level of hitbox there, hopefully it gets fine-tuned a bit more later like they did with some bosses before

brother just say he cant dodge its ok, we know he is bad, but me and shadow can make up for it by killing him b4 he touches lightz.

Can someone tell me which button it is to wiggle out of a grab though I'm terrible when the enemy does grabs I just press every button on my controller on a panic, also that boss is kinda weak to lighting(or i just had to many levels on faith and used the red lighting strike on him)
If you are ever having trouble with a boss, you can go do other things, hint: there is a npc quest line with some good magic rewards!

Does this boss have the same mechanic as Fallingstar Beasts where they will instantly get stance broken if struck while charging?
