The only UK electrician to watch on YT. Well done mate, you have grown your channel and online presence and managed to make it stand out in a crowded area.
Some cracking tips that I used to stick rigidly to when running my business in the UK before moving to NZ, like quote STRAIGHT AWAY. Strike whilst the iron is hot. And, having a clean and clear office, namely your van. Little golden nuggets to those embarking on self-employment.
Keep up the good work and keep the great content coming👍🏻 It's not easy creating content whilst grafting full time, but you are reaping the fruits of your labour.
Kev @ KRT
Thank you Kev, really appreciate your comments, you are a top man and I’m very interested to learn about your move to NZ!!
@krtelectricalservices here here. Came here just to second your fantastic opinion.
@@garymurphy2463 you legend Gary 👊
@@sotaelectrical I'm just in the process of having my qualifications and experience assessed by the EWRB and hoping to get licensed fairly soon. Keep up the good work👍🏻
@@krtelectricalservices good luck my friend!!
Great look into a normal working week, keep up the good work
Hi Adam another quality video thanks. I live in Hertfordshire would be more than happy to work for you.
Great video as always Adam, I’m an electrician based in Cambridgeshire, so if you ever need a hand just give us a shout. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Thank you sir 👍
I fitted my first Live 11 way board (inside) last week. Class….definitely changing from fusebox
Thanks for the feedback on that mate!!
@@craiggoddard488 my wholesaler has been supplying them for a good length of time now and they’ve increased in the quality say over the last 8 years ish.
Have had 1 issue with a 32amp mcb which was loaded to around 27 amps continuously for quite a few periods throughout the day and it started to trip. Never seen this before which other brands.
One thing that may or may not be an indicator of the stability of their business is their latest accounts are overdue according to companies house. Can this be a sign that they’re on the under? Just thinking in terms of future availability of replacement breakers etc
Just found you on linkedin mate. Love this behind the scenes. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail and all that!
True story!
Fantastic video
Thank you!
Great video Adam keep them coming 👍🏼
Thank you sir
Finely another electricians blog I can enjoy as it’s not full of bollocks
Awsome video buddy! Top quality! Looks like you had a nice relaxing week 😂
Thank you Steve!! And thank you for the coffees!! You’re a legend!! 👊
@@sotaelectrical no worries buddy! Deserve them after all that driving. Hardest part of the job driving everywhere! lol
@@stevendavies4006 thank you again
Gawd, it's so expensive watching your videos. Another product - I need one of THOSE! :-) great info as always, many thanks!
🤣 thanks for watching!!
Top video by the way proper grafter 💪
Thank you sir 👍
It’s not patience mate your work speaks volumes that’s why they are getting accepted would like to know what are you cover my neighbour looks like he wants a charger soon ;)
You should get the steering wheel table tray thingy. Easy to work on your laptop in the van. Love your vids btw. Cheers from Malaysia.
Il have a look for that! Thank you 🙏
I was NICEIC for years, but was never satisfied that whenever I pointed out the terrible jobs by other approved contractors, they were full of excuses, and NEVER followed up on any complaints. So eventually I left that shower.
These schemes are just money makers at the end of the day, they paint a pretty picture and that’s about it
3 times tried telling NIC about dangerous work being carried out by one of their members.....THEY DO NOT GIVE A SHIT
@@markyd2633 no they don’t mate
Other thing about Ohme Pros, is they’re bloody ugly. At least with the 8m you can easily get the lead into the van to hook up the EV adapter to your MFT. Yes, I speak from experience. So cold and wet on installs last week.
@@nikhoward great point and I feel your pain my friend

Thank you sir, I cover Hampshire, I do cover further afield but I have to charge a bit more for travelling etc 👍
100% Agree with the Checkatrade thoughts, i lasted 1 year and then i was out, however thats only because i couldnt cancel sooner.
Checkatrade has changed a lot and it’s so unaffordable compared to what it used to be, I will be leaving them soon
Nice to see the DryCab. Did you settle the score from the first time you used it? Thought we'd never see it again.
No scores settled, this year you are going to see how it really works and how well it will last
JCC light is the same as the Ansell ones. Around the outside you have those double screw points - that's where the brackets attach but the documentation of both companies isn't great.
Ahh I couldn’t see anything, thanks for the info though 👍
Install hub have gone into administration recently so definitely time to move on to a new system.
Thank you for the info!!
Never knew that, constantly contacting them about bugs and issues!
What alternatives are out there to install hub guys ?
That wall on the birmingham job wasn't the best was it 😂
No it wasn’t!!
17:20 - Outriggers
Yes!! Thank you! I just couldn’t remember 🤣
Who would want to be a self employed domestic sparkie? 🤮
You do well to keep going mate just don’t burn yourself out 👍🏼
Thanks mate
You know the tele tower.. Can you use it on a landing/stairs?? Eg reboarding a celing over a landing or refitting a lamp over stairs with a return? Where one side is higher than the other?
I don’t think you can drop one side enough for that to be honest but I’m not 100% sure, I’ve never tried
@@sotaelectricalok just a thought. Top man
When will you show step by step how to install ev chargers. About time now
Are you a spark?
@@sotaelectrical .training currently and your standards of installation are high Happy to pay to get some tips from you
Ive just had a hyper volt fitted. The installer never fitted the CT clamp or a data cable. He also never run the tests in the installer app. I have paired it with the user app and now it can't adopted in the installer app. I have a week or so before my EV arrives. The installer assures me everything will be fine I am not so sure. I wish you was closer to me I would have hired you in a heart beat.
Sorry to hear you have had a nightmare with this one, if I can offer assistance remotely I will
Spaniels are lovely aren’t they.
What’s he/she called?
They are lovely, her name is Olive
When quoting Adam, do you specify the charger or do you let the customer choose?
I find out what energy tariff my customer is on, find out what car they have, discuss their personal requirements and quote accordingly on advised chargers 👍

@@sotaelectrical Thanks. New to the ev scene as there’s not been much demand in my area, but the enquiries are slowly starting to increase.
@@SME_Ste pleased to hear they are starting to come in for you,
I could have done a better job myself than that cowboy and I ain't even a sparky lol. I know that if your tails are over 3 meters in length then they have to be protected in a chase under 50mm with unistrut and meter tails isolator or to use armoured 25mm tails.
Hi m8, I live in Portugal and I tried to get a good pants, where I can get pants like yours? What brand is ? Thanks
Hi mate they are englebertstrauss
Word Sota is also finnish word, meaning is war. Way weather took on you looked like war in your past videos.
Interesting fact!!
What are the actual legalities regarding being registerd im an electrician but been out of the game a few years im a security and fire alarm engineer now . Do you have to be registered to certify special locations if i wanted to install say a fuse spur additional circuit in a commercial premises i could test and self certify that couldnt i ?
Hi mate thanks for watching! Any new circuit installed you need to be registered for in order to self certify the works 👍
@@sotaelectrical Only domestic.... commercial or industrial you don't need to be in a competent person scheme 😊
