    It can be tough to find shrubs that are suited for shade. In this video I hope to give you some ideas and inspiration on several varieties of shrubs that can thrive in those conditions. In my recommendations I've included shrubs that are evergreen, deciduous, and blooming to give you a solid mix.
    Hi!
    My name is Justin and I have my managed my family's business (S&K Greenhouse) for the last 10 years! It is a local garden center in Shelby, NC that my mom and dad started around 25 years ago.
    We have a strong desire to discuss and teach gardening to the online community and welcome anyone who wants to learn. Though we have been involved in the plant world for decades we have found that there is always something to learn when it comes to gardening.
    Whether you are a master gardener or just starting out this channel is for you. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our videos!

    Are all of these rabbit, deer and vole PROOF? Please let me know.

    • @avasalvatore1643
      @avasalvatore1643 Год назад

      Nothing is vole-proof. If your property has grubs, moles will tunnel in as they search for them as a food source. Then voles will use the mole tunnels to find their way to the roots of various plantings as a food source. One solution is to treat beds and lawn with fresh, granular milky spore as directed, which disperses into the soil, grubs ingest, and then it kills them off. No grubs = no mole tunnels = no voles.

    • @ravenmeyer3740
      @ravenmeyer3740 Год назад

      You will need to dig the hole and line it with hardware wire or fine chicken mesh wire. Had to do that to keep digging predators out of enclosures containing vulnerable animals. Also for plants and bulbs being dug up by squirrels and rodents. Also if you have deer, put wire enclosures around your shrubs or trees. Deer are lazy and won’t do too much to challenge the barrier.
