The members of the USCG band in general are some of the finest musicians in the US. It is great to hear these members playing great jazz--perfectly.
Not only the Coast Guard band, but all the other US Armed Forces bands too. Do people enlist to play, or are they recruited, or what?
Stupendo , magnifico jazz
Excellent .... ! The Clarinet Player is Top Self ... General
Hoo Ra!!!
Fantastic Job! As a Vietnam era Navy Veteran, I salute you all. Thank You for your performance and your service.
You don't have to through that dog a bone after every song . Just respect and enjoy their music.
Magnificent. One of the first things that was explained to me when I was good enough to play with a band was to have the microphone up to the middle of the clarinet because that it is where the sound emanates. So many audio mixers are not aware of this, but surely the player himself must know and adjust accordingly. His position on the soprano sax was excellent. The sound on trumpet, trombone, cornet, bugle, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax etc comes through the bell. Hence the player aims straight at the microphone. Your clarinet was first class but his instrument was "lost" because of microphone placement. Be fair to him in future. Great Band fantastic playing, full marks to all.
Sólo quienes aman profundamente la música son capaces de tocar así, con tanto cariño, y sin necesidad de partituras!
