I will admit it was far from the greatest conference but you guys seemed determined to be negative from the start, rather than neutral. But to each to their own.
In the end, Colin bought a switch and ended up playing Breath of the Wild on Switch. Lol.

***** I don't know. This conference was exactly what I expected for a live event primarily with Japanese people attending. If this was a Nintendo direct done in this style, it was pretty bad. Content wise, a lot of stuff was left out that the switch can do. The ps4 reveal wasn't much better but people were hyped cause they were ready to move to a new generation. Nintendo pretty much did the same thing with this conference

I just dont understand how you are going to charge this while its in its kickstand mode as the type C port is on the bottom, will it change orientation? or will we not be able to play it this way while charging?
I expected this community to be filled with buzzkills. The presentation was solid with some big hitters. Console looks great, stellar games on the way, what's the complaint? Accessory prices? Valid, but console killing? Please.
President C4 Only Zelda for launch. 2.5hrs battery life. 3rd party developers showed absolutely nothing. You probably won't see any game from Bethesda beside Skyrim. Same for EA. I think Nintendo should quit hardware all together and make games for other platforms.
MBK-GFX There's more than Zelda at launch, that's the very minimum and doesn't apply to me, don't care for any Bethesda game BUT Skyrim, don't care about EA.
I used to think Nintendo should just make software too but that wouldn't be good for the industry and there'd be so beloved IP that would become lost if that were to happen.
President C4 please the launch line up is pathetic. Zelda is seriously the only thing that's good, everything is mix of re-releases or games that are for niche audiences(warriors games and jrpgs).
They basically learned nothing from their past mistakes. The only game worth playing at launch is Zelda. Mario is almost a full year from now. There's a measily SEVEN games at launch, 4 of them are ports from games some of them 3 years old. This does not instill confidence. What were they doing in the last years of the WiiU lifecycle? They sure as hell weren't working hard on a Switch line up, that's for sure. They needed all the big hitters at this launch; Metroid, Mario, Donkey Kong, big 3rd party franchises, a lot of indies. But all we got was 1 tentpole game, 1 new gimick party game, 1 new game that looks okay and 4 old ports. Exciting!

3DS is about 3.5-6.5 hours so sounds pretty reasonable. I don't for more than 1 hour a day outside of work.

The realistic people and the forest is what got me
I don't care much for the gimmicky stuff but I'm surprised by how much they packed into the little joycons. Probably should have seen it coming a mile away but I hadn't really thought about them putting motion sensors in those things individually.

Well, no. This is how you try to do the same thing twice, but this time with a complete concept that can actually be shown as an individual device.
Whether or not it takes off all depends on how well third parties receive it. If Activision gives it a like-for-like version of next year's CoD, it'll do fine.
Otherwise it'll be a niche product until the price comes down to $199 and starts getting all the amazing Japanese 3rd party support that the 3DS has right now.

If it launched with with the new Mario game the legend if Zelda a Pokémon game and a new smash brothers game it would sell much much better but instead they are again releasing the console with few worthy games. Personally I wouldn't consider buying kne until holiday 2017 or if some other games that interest me are released

Mario and Zelda both looked fantastic. I get being down on some of the presentation, as there were admittedly weak parts (especially the joycon controllers), but you guys continue to just be overly negative.

Big Boss Yup, I'm not singing doom and gloom by saying the console will fail. It's not even out yet so I no one can say yay or nay to its success. But I think it's fair to draw conclusions without people acting like it's just blind hate. Unless your a fanboy it was a shit conference period, it had some moments but it was about 80% terribly done. People singing it praises are crazier to me then those saying they were not impressed.
I've only watched 15 minutes so far but I really like the look of the system. I think I'll buy it.

Zelda, Mario, Xenoblade and Octopath (lol), all got me excited. For me it wasn't a bad conference in the sense that this is only gonna be my side console to my PS4 and PC.
