i have to say, good on pixels for understanding the fear squatters go through when they squat in abandoned places. two sides to every situation, and a lot of people especially in horror communities refuse to accept that sometimes things are just people
I was looking exactly for a comment like this, i think they’re both terrified of the other because they absolutely got no clue what their intent is or what they’re doing there… where im from (The Netherlands) we barely have homelessness… so squatters are a rare thing too though i’d be terrified if i had to hide myself as a homeless person and you hear footstep coming closer and closer to your hideout
This ending is heartbreaking...got the chills on my whole body. Quite an anticlimactic ending for a horror video, but thanks for saving me from those nightmares!
I find it very sad, imagine you want to write a letter to your loved ones and passingly away but not even knowing that the letter was left on a building that one day will be demolished or fall apart because of time,it’s honestly very sad to me.
I just stumbled upon this channel and I can already say it really holds certain quality other channels don't have. I really love how this guy puts the videos through a logical view but still manages to make the video interesting. Good job!!!
Mary’s letter to her mother was so profoundly written and heartfelt, yet so heavy that it weighs on your chest like a final hug goodbye. Mary really speaks to the soul. there are moments where you really don’t know the words to say or are unsure if your words are even enough, but within such an unimaginable circumstance, Mary found just the right way to say a final, wholehearted “i love you” to her grieving mother. it’s not just a love letter from the sick, it’s a beautiful letter that tugs at your heartstrings the way a child may tug on your shirt for affection. this is a resignation from an ill child to her loving mother regarding her inevitable departure with the promise that their spirits may meet again in heaven to be reunited in love… and yet it had sat, piled in between books and gospels from over the years to collect dust in an abandoned church. time had almost forgotten Mary and yet, by the hand of a man she would never meet, had her story pulled from within what may be centuries worth of worn books and aged scriptures. in such an unsure time of her slowly-fading life, Mary finds the perfect way to comfort her mother with her words; to tell her how much she means and had done for her and how in her heart, the love of her mother shines, even as she lays sick and dying; and though she knows that she will carry it with her to paradise, she will still have to leave her behind. it’s not just a goodbye or a farewell. it’s a promise that no matter what happens, her spirit will reside over her mother until they’re eventually reunited and meet again.
Pixels After Dark is that type of channel that you watch when you wanna watch horror without the blood. I love me a good video from Pixels After Dark at night.
The last one isn't scary, it's just heartbreaking and brutally real since it made me realize that other people have other lives, stories that I never knew about
The most horrifying thing in these videos is the utter decay of America, people forced to live alone in the dark in squalor and absolutely stunningly beautiful buildings reduced to rotting rubble around us. I am terrified for my children.
Let’s appreciate how Pixels After Dark never fails to… wait, what was I supposed to say? Oh yeah, Let’s appreciate how Pixels After Dark never fails to break my femur!

I kinda want to buy one of those life-sized plastic skeletons at the Home Depot, make it look real, and put it in an abandoned building wearing some tattered clothes with raw meat underneath so the flies & stink will make people think someone actually died there 😈 Happy Halloween, my dudes ☠️🎃👻
I find it odd that of all the very well known urban explorers, none of them run into other people as often as Urbex. So while his videos are somewhat entertaining, the validity of them is somewhat questionable IMHO. If you watch Exploring with Josh you will rarely see close encounters and he goes all over the world. Nor do some of the other top rated explorers. So just saying'. Kinda skeptical.
I've seen his few videos and yup. They are fake, like in the end of the video's he shows clips from encounter and he usualy says that those were ghost. Be doesn't says it with 100% but come one, in one episode he shows dark creature from long distance walks throught wall and closes the door in the room in front of him. He also plants two cameras on this place before. Some episodes even have some persons whispering in woman or demonic voice some words to his questions. So these videos are fake, good and scary to watch but fake.
@@bostwosplendoru8640 it's funny cause i was curiously testing my dads intuition with the third video shown as these kinds of presentations are very entertaining to me, and as the video-makers bait intented, my dad said "he's not even necessarily saying it's a ghost so why do you think he's trying to convince people?" which had me laughing out loud, because i was amazed how the thought never even crossed his mind, (so it obviously won't for many other people), that it's just bad logic and completely ignorant of the possibility that someone would in fact pretend to be a neutral/skeptical person in order to convince people that "self proclaimed neutral/skeptical ghost hunter believes in extraordinary thing, therefore credibility for believability is higher".... this is actually a more "strategic" (and by strategic i mean manipulative/exploitive/deceptive) way of convincing people that something happened the way that they claim it did, and not any other way. this is a basic lesson in sociology which also spreads over to politics and law as well. someone like Tucker Carlson would (to a completely untrained eye) present himself as the neutral middle man of what he was reporting on Fox News, while actually strongly suggesting the strong right wing narrative Fox wants him to, while falling back to neutral, responsibility avoiding language (also known as double-speak) which is often used by dishonest politicians or criminals to convince people that they're of the neutral position when they really aren't.
@@ImHeadshotSniper its honestly not so bad that people are indocrintated into believing in ghosts rather than people be indoctrinated to conservatism, people want the real world to be not boring, that theres something more same reason for conspiracy theories
This is a really great video! You don't add excess or unnecessary commentary, and you don't pass the content off as your own. You credit the source of the clips and make it clear that you simply compiled them. This is how all compilation vids should be made! Thanks❤
man squatters are more scary than any ghost #4 is racoons. those guys do the peek around trees gag all the time when I'm camping. they make real creepy noises too if you go after em (and that sound sounded like someone throwing up in a storm drain XD)
I watched the first one with the shirtless man in the corner not that long ago. There’s a point in the video after he found that the guy isn’t there that you can see the man standing in a doorway staring at him, he was following him the whole time. That’s the scariest part to me
Finally, a guy i can get behind. Edit: listen I wrote this as somewhat of a joke for only myself to get, I didn't want other people to see it, so please don't put pressure on me.
10:23 is definitely 2 primates, their eyes only pick-up IR light and reflect it, so the light from a camera would show up as eye-shine in the video clip. However IR light is invisible to the naked eye so he wouldn't have seen the eye-shine at all. This explains why he had no reaction because he literally couldn't see anything. The eye-shine was invisible to him, this also explains the screaming noise later on in the clip which belongs to a primate. If anything it's even creepier because you don't even know your looking at 2 animals in the dark a couple dozen feet away from you.
The second creature may have hoped on 4 legs and then back on 2 legs while turning his head making him look faster than the is bears stand up sometimes too make them look bigger
This video is def the scariest video I’ve ever seen on RUclips. And ay I don’t get scared quite easily I had to look away every 30s. These clips are TRULY terrifying. I couldn’t even imagine doing this in real life, Props to Urbex.
Feel sorry for the homeless dude's, they are probably just as terrified of who would be lurking about abandoned buildings, and any small security they may have felt from hiding away in the darkest corners of abandoned places was shattered
So, the end was pretty emotional (and the music too), and then it brings up: Disturbing Media Created By Killers. What a great suggestion! (great vid btw)
This was the perfect scare for Halloween! My heart was on edge the whole time, and I even jumped when I saw the discoveries (the last one made me cry instead of jump though)! This guy definitely has more bravery than I do!
I've explored water drainage systems before with friends and its terrifying when you find people in them. once it was actually some of our other friends, but we've seen homeless people in them and it's seriously scary because you don't know what they might do or have with them, and there's only one way out. I can not even believe how scary it must be to see people in the places the guy in the video is exploring, especially considering the fact that he's alone. And the fact this guy is brave enough to go back to see if that person is still there is insane.
This is the exact reason why these videos actually scare me. You can never be 100% sure that your alone in those kinds of places and yet people go into them with no form of protection There are no monsters or skin walkers. There are no paranormal forces at play no aliens. Just human beings and the massive threat that they come with when your in a location like that
yea exactly, i never got why all these "urban explorers" unless their vids are fake would go into say; a known crack den or abandoned mental hospital, without being armed. Like bro, there is no ghosts, but you probably ARE going to run into a crackhead who tries to stab you like it makes no sense. So many people do dangerous things for vids, but are unprepared. It all just comes across as stupid to me.
@@ethansanchez6267 This is true, what I find more saddening and scary is that there are probbaly deleted or hidden videos out there of explorers getting attacked. What some people don't understand is people who are under the influence of any substance, seem to inhibit similar dangerous functions as wild animals when attacking. I.e they have no restraint when attacking. And as to why I would think some explorer footage would be uncoverable? Simple, too graphic for YT's guidelines, or the more moral thing is the victim and or their family could of taken a video down after they passed away or were critically injured.
As someone who lives in a city with a large homeless/squatter population, thank you for making an effort to be empathetic towards the people in these situations. Many of my friends and family members have been homeless at one point or are currently homeless. 9 times out of 10, homeless people aren't inherently a threat. And even when they may lash out or threaten others, it is usually out of fear or anxiety. Not having a safe place to sleep can do a number on someone's mind, so being in a constant state of fight or flight is often the only way most homeless people can survive in these situations
That’s fucking crazy I’ve been to that factory and tunnel urbex hill explored. That factory always gave me the creeps, even in groups I’d try to avoid the basement. I remember one day seeing a search warrant or some paper from the police stapled outside of the building. As for the tunnel, me and my brother decided to walk down a bit of it but we turned back after we couldn’t see the entrance. Apparently that tunnel runs all the way out to Lake Erie but I’m willing to j take peoples words for it. It’s videos like this that make it abundantly clear if you’re gonna explore these places you gotta go in a group or have some means of self defense
yeah who know how old that letter is but i still feel the echoes of the pain that family and child went through :,( dman i only hope the family found that b4 donating the book
I’ve been on deaths door a couple times and the last clip hits hard. That is one of the most well articulated and beautiful yet haunting letters I’ve ever heard. R.I.P Mary 🕊️
I already know where I'm going, so death doesn't scare me very much, yet all of our belongings we have on this earth will mean nothing, you can't take your belongings into Heaven, it's all vanity. All you're gonna bring into Heaven is yourself. Because that's all God needs. ❤
10:45 100% faked What to notice is this is the only point the camera sits stock still. This is so as to not have the eyes move with the camera. A lot of times it’s either beyond the capabilities to f the person making the video but, more often than not, it’s incredibly time consuming to reset the eyes around the camera movement, particularly if the movement comes from a simple one-click program.
Urban Exploration videos always remind me of some kind of found footage, and I’m always expecting something fucked up to happen as a payoff for the buildup of tension. Usually, urban exploration channels just show a decayed, abandoned building with nothing else, which is sometimes scarier because there is no payoff and only tension, but that also makes the few times where someone decides to make a short horror film out of the setting they’re in 10x more effective.
6:27 this is actually so sad. Imagine just being a guy hiding away from society, probably knowing urban explorers exist so you made a keep out sign. You hear someone so you hide in the furthest part of your room to not be seen. Someone is pretty much intruding your ‘home’. I hope the guy living there is okay he sounded actually terrified :[
I wanna see a video where two separate urban explorers accidentally spook each other on their individual videos, and don't realize it until someone points it out in the RUclips comments.
I am sure someone out there has a tale like this about me. I used to explore abandoned places when I was younger.. But I did so in full gear. Had a gas mask, backpack that always had things for just in-case.. and I would often either carry a machete or a tanto with me. ( The Machete was later on. The tanto was a family thing. I did not feel comfertable taking any of the other stuff we had but that I was ok with. ) I wore the mask due to the one I had was rated to deal with a lot of stuff. I wore it just in-case of mold or asbestos. Oh and yes I did have gloves on ect. I had a radiation detector with me as well ( forgot the model now. But its old by today's standards ) But I would only take it out in specific areas since I knew those areas had very bad radiation issues in the past. ( and to a point still do. ) .. I know I have bumped into more than a few people who took off as soon as they seen me. So.. I know I scared more than a few people.. Was not my intention but at least both sides where being safe. ( Oh and yes I have been scared a few times too.. But no where near as often as I thought would happen when I first started. Think for the most part others where more afraid of me than the other way around.)
I find it funny that Urbex Hill calls the creature "probably a pet chimpanzee" which is honestly also the thing that came into my mind when i saw the eyes on camera, it looked almost as if it were swinging or moving like an ape creature
urban exploration is legitimately the scariest thing ever. What people in places like that are capable of is terrifying. Then again, a lot of them are the ones terrified, just hoping for a safe place to crash. Many homeless people seek out such places. They must be constantly scared of someone hurting them or the police seeking them out. It's terrible both ways. Respect to urbex for being so courageous tho. People are scary because they're extremely unpredictable and intelligent. Like, if you found a wolf or something there you would be terrified but not as much as if it was a person
5:18 nah brotha he is coincidentally, exploring alone yeah it’s weird videos fresh blood is seeing but wasn’t a bad dinner and a time capsule was the daycare and if it was in a time capsule and left alone for so long, why was our flash flood pictures in color and those pictures two were very fresh because you could see the color of the person everything like if you see an actual lake photo and it’s been left a long time there would be paint chipping cracks in the Portrait and everything I’m not saying his videos are fake, but I’m calling him out for a couple fake looking things. Also, the keep out note looks really fresh like good writing.
i think the most terrifying thing in this video is the concept of being in dark underground tunnels with loose CHIMPS. (first time on your channel, respect to your standards of what to include in your vid!)
its pretty disturbing noticing that the most thing people are scared of in these situations is other human beings
It's more likely to find a person than a ghost and well it's not a like a regular person would be chilling in an abandoned placed
You can reasonably predict how something like a wild animal will act in these situations, but humans can be far less predictable.
Like a comment said, you could literally get murdered there.

Mary really speaks to the soul. there are moments where you really don’t know the words to say or are unsure if your words are even enough, but within such an unimaginable circumstance, Mary found just the right way to say a final, wholehearted “i love you” to her grieving mother.
it’s not just a love letter from the sick, it’s a beautiful letter that tugs at your heartstrings the way a child may tug on your shirt for affection. this is a resignation from an ill child to her loving mother regarding her inevitable departure with the promise that their spirits may meet again in heaven to be reunited in love…
and yet it had sat, piled in between books and gospels from over the years to collect dust in an abandoned church.
time had almost forgotten Mary and yet, by the hand of a man she would never meet, had her story pulled from within what may be centuries worth of worn books and aged scriptures.
in such an unsure time of her slowly-fading life, Mary finds the perfect way to comfort her mother with her words; to tell her how much she means and had done for her and how in her heart, the love of her mother shines, even as she lays sick and dying; and though she knows that she will carry it with her to paradise, she will still have to leave her behind.
it’s not just a goodbye or a farewell. it’s a promise that no matter what happens, her spirit will reside over her mother until they’re eventually reunited and meet again.

It's obviously fake, not somewhat questionable. "Don't explore alone" written in chalk lmao
@@ImHeadshotSniper its honestly not so bad that people are indocrintated into believing in ghosts rather than people be indoctrinated to conservatism, people want the real world to be not boring, that theres something more
same reason for conspiracy theories
Yes but I've watched exploring with josh for 5 years and some of his are just made up shite 😂 it's fun we don't need to make everything so serious.

I can only imagine why you'd want to be behind him. You like his ass?
This seems wrong considering what the top comment is
10:23 is definitely 2 primates, their eyes only pick-up IR light and reflect it, so the light from a camera would show up as eye-shine in the video clip.
Could be 2 bats aswell
Don't think it where bats maybe bears if so it was a good thing he didn't go into that tunnel

You can never be 100% sure that your alone in those kinds of places and yet people go into them with no form of protection
There are no monsters or skin walkers.
It could honestly work both ways. Explorers don't know if squatters are dangerous, and the squatters don't know if those Explorers are dangerous.
Love the way you explain things and get to the point! I’m stuck watching your videos now lol, they’re so entertaining. I’m definitely subscribing!
Bro I pray that, that man gets help somehow… it takes a different level of insane to hide in a creepy abandoned building by yourself… so sad dude.

10:47 Urbex has actually mentioned that he didn't react to the figures because it was too foggy for him to see them himself.
They look so fake lol
2:00 average Sane person in horror movies
10:45 100% faked
What to notice is this is the only point the camera sits stock still.

I did not feel comfertable taking any of the other stuff we had but that I was ok with. )
I wore the mask due to the one I had was rated to deal with a lot of stuff. Think for the most part others where more afraid of me than the other way around.)

urban exploration is legitimately the scariest thing ever.
