    Great vid. Only discovered your videos in the last few months. After being into fly fishing for about 3 years on stocked stillwaters I am now making the progression into river fishing which I must say I am enjoying so much more on the back of your methods you share. Thank you very much Jon :)

    Hi Jonathan, just a short note to say that I really enjoy your videos and find them very informative. I have missed your work over the last few months and hope that all is well with you and that this is just a hiatus in your output and you'll soon be back to it. Thanks for many hours of tuition and entertainment.

    Thank you very much for your time and effort in making this video. I'm new to this type of fishing and enjoyed it. Keep up the good work. I'm in Virginia, USA, and hope to try this method as soon as I can. Best wishes.

    Yes quite correct- The whole leader from in line indicator to point fly is 1.5 metres approx.
    One fly 35-40 cm above that- and one more 35-40 cm above that.
    Hope this makes it clear? I might be a bit out on the video because I'm talking at the same time.
    Cheers Jon.

    Robbie, Danny, stepping up, stepping down ?? The fish didn't care, as he caught 22 Grayling that day so obviously his technique worked. Being stealthy and presenting the fly/nymphs on their noses was the main thing. Great video Jonathan and it came across that you was enjoying yourself that day.

    Thanks for nice video. I wish you had been more specific about showing the way you tie the dropper to the line. I've always just tied droppers to the hook of the higher fly(its).

    @part270579 oh i did not know that in europe where i`m from is it almost everywhere allowed. The czech style is also verry effective with just one fly but make sure it`s heavy enough because you don`t have the other flies to drag it down into a deep pool. Usualy you use 1 heavy fly 1 moderate weigth and one weightless but one tungsten bead or heavy leaded one wil work perfectly! I recommend the tungsten it tends to preserve the flies natural movement a bit better

    Hi I'm fishing downstream rather than upstream because I'm trying to catch grayling-I will fish the same method upstream for trout in the right conditions. The rod is progressive- on the fast side if anything- but only a 2/3weight and 10 feet.

    Gonzalo Ucendo. El indicador parece que son varias bolitas, de qué material estan hechas?, yo solo utilizo una, la ultima duda es que la mosca de punta está montada con bola de acero dorado montada por fuera, tiene una función especial?

    I'm trying to get an understanding of your leader. Am I describing it correctly when I say it's 40cm from the indicator to the top dropper and then another 40cm to the next dropper? Does this not leave a 70cm gap to the point fly??? Is it supposed to be 70cm from indicator to top dropper then 40cm and 40cm again??? If not then why the large gap between point fly and middle dropper compared to the rest of the leader set-up???
    Great video by the way and many thanks for posting.

    can i have producer of your rod? I could not cath the name... what i am looking at moment is Grey's streamflex #2 ... but your comments about coloring might change my mind... flashy rods could be a wrong choice

    Question: why fish the run fishing down the run rather than up the run? Surely the fish will be more aware of your presence if you are moving down stream and they are facing up stream? Also, is that rod a fairly slow action rod?

    The river Tees! That's funny.
    I spent a month in Darlington when I was 12 to learn English and the only river I fished was the Tees!
    I caught lots of trout but no grayling though

    Jonathan, I have tried this method with one dropper. However, I get frustrated because the dropper ends up twisted around the main tippet. Any suggestions, or is this common and nobody brings this point up in any of the videos?

    • @Yeanpc
      @Yeanpc 9 лет назад

      Fillmore Corpus I used to have the same problem until I changed to a Blood Knot for the droppers ruclips.net/video/kj-HZrg0vJ8/видео.html

    • @fillmorecorpus9102
      @fillmorecorpus9102 9 лет назад

      Yean. Thank you. It sounds like you mean, for example when connecting say 6x to 5x with a blood knot I only clip one side and leave the other side for the dropper.

    • @Yeanpc
      @Yeanpc 9 лет назад

      Fillmore Corpus Exactly. The side that you leave for your dropper comes perpendicular from the main line and this helps to avoid twisting.

    @part270579 thats just the idea of czech nymphing. To be able to fish more deps effective with several flies with different weights
