Today I'm taking you along with me to shop during the first day of Phase 2 in Massachusetts. This video covers two days of thrifting in a variety of locations! Stay until the second half of the video for the big haul!

I've gone back to work. I'm an online gleaner for Goodwill actually and I've been helping in donations because it's been so nuts. Mostly clothing and accessories. We have been sending Gaylord's of raw donations to the warehouse for quarantine but I know it's too much for the local retail stores. The outlets are getting some seriously good stuff soon. I've had my hands on so many Kate Spade, some Luis Vuiton and even Gucci!
Wow Angie! Tell me more! How soon do you think the outlets will be getting new donations? Are they quarantining for two weeks? I better get myself to the bins ASAP!! Thanks so much for the insight.
Of course. They only quarantine for three days and send them to the stores that order them but the stores already have too much because of what has been sitting in the back production rooms for months. It's funny really, it's been my job to know brands so I naturally started reselling on Poshmark in February and glad I did because it gave me something to work at all this time. 😊 Plus, there's that employee discount.

J Jill was flipping super fast for me and then i got a few pieces that are not moving although one would have sold same day as listed if it had been lined. Some times it is a rollercoaster of x sells like hotcakes then sits and festers when you get several pieces.
I agree. This piece sold really fast. The brand has been doing a little better for me lately.

I noticed that Savers has calmed down with the crazy prices. I got a VS Bra & a Cacique for 1.99 too. This was in Plaistow, NH. I'm lucky to live on the MA/NH line, so I get to shop without sales tax on clothing in both states. Have you braved the Hudson BINS yet?
I went for the first time on Friday. Just recorded the haul! It wasn't bad!
Great haul. So happy things are opening up. My Goodwill opened up on Monday 6/8. I haven't gone yet, BUT SOON. I loved the Victoria Secret robe, ala perfecto! LOL

Goodwill Outlet is open in Connecticut They are open 10am-6pm I have gone 3 times already, hardly anyone there and so much stuff! If you get at least 50 lbs it is only 88 cents per pound. There are also many goodwill stores close by. The outlet is in Hamden Also Goodwill stores in Cheshire, Hamden, Wallingford and Middletown to name a few. Also many, many thrift and antique stores as well.....also Savers 😁
OMG What a great tip! I'm tempted to drive 2.5hrs now!....but I better not. I have too much stuff as it is!
Hey CT neighbor, I love the Cheshire store, they’ve got some nice items and I love how they display them. In my area, I’ve got Manchester, Rocky Hill, Avon, and Bloomfield all but the Manchester store are small, I usually have the best luck in Manchester. I’ve never gone to the outlet store as Hamden is a ways for me, someday, hopefully soon.

I like the CT bins. They have had soooooooo much stuff the couple of times I have gone and hardly any people were there. I tried the NH bins last week as I had to bring my son to the airport and they had way less stuff and more people. It is worth the trip and there are so many other Goodwill, Savers and thrift stores in the area to visit as well!
@@LorisBostonFound Have you been to the CT bins? They are great. So much stuff! I stopped at the NH bins when I dropped my son off at the airport and it's much smaller although did find some great pieces! Also like CT as it is 88 cents a pound at 50+. Also like the Goodwill and Savers in North Attleboro ...always find gems there

If I have a time limit, it throws me off, too. I never take my husband because he comes in and looks around then sits in the car. And it makes me feel rushed. I am nervous about going to Salvation Army tomorrow.

What do you do about watermarks like you found on the robe? Just notate and show pictures or wash to try to remove them? Thank you for your helpful videos.
Since the fabric is polyester (not silk) I just washed it. It came out beautiful! Stain is gone. Sometimes I'll just steam it out as best I can and then note it in the listing.

What exactly does it mean when something is a sample?
Great question. A true sample sale is when a brand or manufacturer sells off their previous season's samples. Real samples are often one of a kind pieces made to show to buyers - some of which were never manufactured for retail. For example, in this haul those shorts with the different color band were probably never sold in stores. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching.
