What an awesome car. That Yates engine was almost six figures when new .. Keeping these old cars legacy going on, making more great memories. Great Job brother.
@@micah3697 I have a 70 351c-4v that sat for 15 yrs plus, got it running/idling 5 days ago. Last nigram's! on the dyno, It hit 8k an begged for more rpm's!
Knowing that was the memorial race for your friend, that was a little emotional knowing all those burnouts where to honor him. He was definitely enjoying the show you put on for him.
I have one ! It’s a fusion , d3 Yates engine. Got it from James Hylton. It’s an x Elliot wood brothers car. Have not had time to try and crank it but the log book says it has less than 20 min run time. Now you have motivated me! Thank you
That Yates motor sounds badass, cool keeping the memories of Spencer alive, that`s a whole lot of fun for around 5k. I don`t know how much that motor was raced, but I am anxious to see how long it holds up to your beatings, Yates were the cats ass back in the day.
You got yourself a gem , I am sorry to hear about your friend of the family and I will say a prayer and may God bless you all and I will wish you the best with you and your project. I hope that everything goes well with you and your family and I will be looking forward with excitement to see what kinda adventures your gonna come up with on your new acquisition of your Nascar car! Good morning and great Tuesday to you.
Great tribute to your friend Chris!!! That thing is a beast!! And Yates power under the hood!!! Would love to have the engine in my ole fastback mustang!!!!!👍👍👍
that starter sounds sooooooooo good, what a damn sickly cool car dude, i love it. big respect for showing respect to the original driver like that too. and well RIP the inboard mic lol
I’ve been into dirt racing, and working on race cars since 2014, but in 2019 I bought a limited modified. To make things short, I’ve learned more in 3 years than I did in 5 years. Some of the most important things that I have learned is to keep in mind of the little things, because not one thing will win a race, a bunch of small advantages over the next guy will make a huge difference. I argue with people all the time whenever I tell them that races are won in a shop, but those same people I argue with has either never drove a car, or if they do race, they run in the back due to the car not being competitive enough.
Spin the motor over with the ignition off until the oil pressure comes up, then turn the ignition on! Just a lil tip I've learned over the year's...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
I strongly recommend buying new lexan, there will optical imperfections from the polishing and it will drive you mad and make your head hurt like wearing someone else glasses. Looking forward to see that intake restrictor tossed in the bin, this thing with a tune will be insane!
Rad car, looks like a great time, maybe a hard rev limiter would help prevent your steel foot from over revving that old girl. Also, its got a bit of an uneven gallop upon starting, maybe do a compression test now that shes been running awhile, could be valve seat issues causing a bit of compression loss on one or two holes. ^_^
Dude you need to take that to the freedom factory and get cleetus to make a private class around those old school chassis, bet he could make it happen he ownes the race track!!!!!+
i honor u chris thank your for doing this it makes me cry and feel great again huggs bro be safe and see yah on here next weekend bro huggs. p.s. love the channel keep the vids coming chris huggs bro
I would love to own a old Nascar. I live in Germany, and I am not rich, so they are far out of my reach. 😢 But at least I own a 1972 Ford LTD 4-door sedan. It is not a racing car but a awesome cruiser. I try to make it the last car I ever bought. It is 10 years older than me and I hope it will survive me. 😀 But still, a real Nascar would be awesome. That sound and shape. Build only to be raced. Killer.
have you considered going to cleetus and cars burnout competition i think a person like yourself will do well in this up and coming sport in america you might even give some of us aussies a run for our money in burnouts hope you can make this happen
Good Watch. Looks like seat side braces are crowding your arm pit, whats your take on that. I have never been in a race car. Thanks for the uptick in amount of your videos, your a good watch.
What an awesome car. That Yates engine was almost six figures when new .. Keeping these old cars legacy going on, making more great memories.
Great Job brother.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd be looking after it as it would be huge money to fix if/when something let's go.
AWESOME Freakin Job Chris for keeping OLD MEMORIES ALIVE!!! I can see it now, He’s looking down on you just Shaking His Head… #Spencer , #23
Good on you Chris for Honoring your lost friend! I'm sure Spencer was riding shotgun cheering you on!

Remember if you bought the master cylinder years back you saved 20% or so due to inflation
Spin the motor over with the ignition off until the oil pressure comes up, then turn the ignition on! Just a lil tip I've learned over the year's...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Brings back excitement from days along time ago when I bought a 68 Gts 383 4speed factory dart that was ran on the drag strip..have fun Chris

Gotta love the Nascar boom tube exhaust system
You made some badass tips this weekend at Tucson! If it had a power glide you’d run 10’s!

The car guy math though.
