    I love turkey soup a little trick i use is i save a little gravy from my turkey dinner and add it to the soup , it gives it a little more flavour just 3 or 4 spoonfuls, thank you for another great recipe , have a great day.

      Thank you Ricky for sharing your soup tips with us it sounds lovely. We usually use the broth from the jiggs dinner and all of those flavours from the dinner is in the soup. But the gravy sounds lovely. My Dad used that before to kick up the flavours. Bless you for stopping by and have a Happy New Year!! Bonita

      I'm glad you enjoyed our new video recipe...Turkey leg or parts is sold separate in the market and one turkey leg will make a boiler of delicious soup. Not everyone cooks a big turkey, but if you have leftover turkey freeze some in two cup bags and have for making soup. :) Happy New Year and thank you for stopping by.. :) Bonita

      Hey Bonita. I am going to have to buy another turkey then!!! I used up all the leftover turkey to make turkey croquettes on Boxing Day. I should share that recipe with yoiu. it was my Mom’s tradition on Boxing Day. Turkey croquettes and home made French fries!!! I carry the tradition on.

    It's worth getting a supply of Summer Savoury for your spice collection - I use it constantly when I want to add that something, something that most people don't expect.

    • @bonitaskitchen

      I agree totally!! Savoury is a regular spice in our house and we use it on fish, chicken, turkey and pork!! So tasty...Thank you for stopping by and enjoy our new recipe to the fullest....Don't forget to save some turkey for our next week video recipe...I'm not going to tell you what i'm making but it is a leftover winner!!! Happy new year! 🎉🥳🎇 Thank you for the tasty recipe, Bonita.🤗 I don't make soup often now it's just me that will have to eat it, but that looks very easy and I can always save some in the freezer. I have the makings, so maybe it will be my new year's soup. Cheers! 👍☺️🇨🇦 💞

      Thank you so much for your lovely message and for stopping by...we are so glad you enjoyed our NEW soup recipe this week.
      Must diffently you should make this soup and freeze it in separate containers and you can even cook and freeze the noodles in separate freezer bags.
      Make everything and have your soup, maybe even two bowls of soup...haha. Then let it all come to room temp before putting it in freeze containers and bags.
      You should have the same has if you were cooking for a family or two. Healthy choices like making your own soup is so rewarding. Bless you!!
      Happy New Year and enjoy!!! Bonita

    I was told recently that Mt. Scio savoury was winter savoury, I said I thought it was summer savoury. I was confused, so I mixed my winter savoury with my summer savoury together and now I use that, I don't see a difference. While making your soup you also said Summer Savoury, so thank you for solving this issue for me.

    • @bonitaskitchen
      @bonitaskitchen  День назад +1

      You are very welcome and I agree totally...I can't taste any difference in them both only one if grown here in NL and the other savoury's are from other places.
      But they all taste the same. Adding savoury to soups, stews, dressings ( stuffing ) and fish meals it takes it to another level of flavour.
      We use it like sea salt and pepper pretty much all the time. :)
      Happy New Year to you and yours.,...See you in the NEW YEAR!!! Bonita

    I always add pork to a lot of my soups . It just gives it a better flavour. Eight peppercorns , two bay leaves and thyme , poultry seasoning and cubed chicken broth, salt and pepper and seasoning salt.
