From Ocean to Pot: Fiji’s Fresh Catch Journey_Vlog 149

Part 2 of Vlog 148 of more fishing adventures. We managed to catch a few fish, including two big trevally. Back home, Koroi, Seva, and Tui got busy boiling the fish and preparing plantain and bananas from the farm. They scraped coconuts to extract the raw milk for the fish, making a simple yet delicious meal.
This wasn’t just for us; we cooked it for the carpenter and the boys who are building our church hall. It’s a tradition we follow every week, where a family household cooks for the carpenter as part of our communal work. This week was our turn, and it felt good to contribute to the community in such a meaningful way.
