"You gonna look out for me???!!!" When Randy was screaming that shit at the cop, that hit me right in my soul!!!
You high, nigga? Spare us this pop bullshit.
One of the most heartbreaking scenes in the series
Yeah I broke down during that scene
Facts. Makes you think about how many Randys, Michael’s and Dukie’s there really are out there thankfully, my mom was like a mix of Delanda and Miss Anna except for the fact that my mom told me to step up and be the man it wasn’t about elevating in the drug game. It was about being responsible and having a job I watch the wire late teens early 20s seeing this as a grown man with a child it’s totally different.
Still, my most favorite show ever. I think this show is so realistic. It’s almost like watching a fucking documentary yo.
The actor that played Randy is mature well beyond his years. His speech, vocabulary, mannerism.....
Damn I miss this show. 20 years later and I still go back and watch every season. Season 4 my favorite.
Most definitely 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏿
When Prez ”packed too much” lunch and gives a sandwich to Dookie that hits me right in the feels every time, I can see how people wanna become teachers regardless of pay or how hard it is. If you could help out a kid like that, even just once, you’ve done a damn fine deed.
My wife is a teacher and I hear her stories about kids like that all the time and it breaks my heart.
Prez went from pistol whipping a kid and blinding him to his role in season 4. It was beautiful
what happened to Micheal,Duquan and Randy broke my heart..Those young actors did a great job
dookie killed me, i couldn't bear to watch him. brilliant acting.
his ending hurt to watch. also randy's fate was pretty sad. the system turned him into a cold ass kid
j2times2006 agree.. that hurt my heart
Michael Lee becomes Omar, and Dukie becomes Bubs
Best tv show in history hands down 🙌🏾
@Aida Mersa who gives a fuck about you?
Very good show
👍
@Aida 🤡 🤡 🤡
💯
Modern day Shakespeare
The best book I've ever watched
Absolutely flawless
One syllable from a haiku
@@breandancarter3440 nah i think it works as a haiku
Namond made it out alright thanks to Colvin. I wanted to adopt those kids so bad especially Randy and Dukie.
Duke was a good kid, dealt a shit hand in life but not letting it phase him. A good natured young lad, despite his upbringing..
you should adopt a real kid
@@GerryBolger it's been awhile but didn't Duke become a heroin addict?
Satevo yeah
Hey Don't forget Cutty he helped him too when Namond went to his gym and started talking to him didn't Cutty send him ot Colvin or did Cutty go to Colvin? Or neither lol I forget
the wire changed the game it went deeper than any show ever will 2real
💯
Best show ever, probably will be until the end of time lol, crazy
@@eljay2224 🪨💪🏿🔥👍
I never caught the Avon picture in the gym. This show really did subtle nods to previous seasons/characters well.
Avon gives 15.000$ to Cutty to remodel the gym, hence his picture on the wall I guess
Namond's mom was one of the best characters on the show. Just totally breathed fire.
Haven't seen The Wire in years, but this is reminding me why it's the best show ever made...
its so sad seeing dukie at the end of season 5 basically homeless and shooting needles becoming the new bubbles... and we also see michael become the new omar
Everyone became the new someone.. Carcetti became like the old Mayor, cant remember the young black cops name, running to the judge like Jimmy did, etc
@@liambrowne8255 The Cops name was Leander Sydnor.
Pearlman becomes a judge, which is funny because she too was guilty of extortion and could've gone to prison.
Best HBO series ever. Better than Sopranos!
better? i dont know but its equal? absolutely
It's far better than the Sopranos. Sopranos was a great show, but it had some serious writing flaws. Unfinished story lines, characters brought in just to be killed, or brought in and then they didn't seem to know what to do with them (The Steve Buscemi character for example).
It's character drama was fantastic. Especially Tony. But it just wasn't as complete as the Wire. Wire had all the great believable character drama, but with iron clad plot lines.
The only show that even comes close to the wire for putting all elements together is Game of Thrones. For me the only thing that puts the Wire ahead of GoT is the fact it's based on real situations. It is a mirror of the flaws of America.
Deadwood is up there with both shows. I can't choose a best. I have my personal fav because of when I watched it and other factors, but rating these incredible shows is impossible for me
sopranos is commercial success that is it. it cant come close to the wire. it was way overrated
Eddie Edmo I wouldn’t say better than the sopranos, but u can say better in a different way.
They both were one the the best shows in their own right , but you gotta remember sopranos kinda started these amazing shows that were played out like movies in quality and cinematography.
Dookie ending up a heroin addict like myself at the time just made me relate to even more. NOw it just makes me sad. I was able to quit but I will never know if dookie quit, died, or went to prison.
The wire is a novel/book 📚 you have to watch every single episode 💯👍🪨💪🏿
Even tho Namond was deep down a good kid its tragic what happens to the rest of the crew compared to him
All four of them were good kids. They were all failed by the system in different ways.
@@ComputerJunkie00 tru but they all could have been saved if they themselves just made different choices. for example mike had adults who would have token care of his situation other than depending on criminals, if he did let cutty help him mike would have made it out the hood through boxing. randy lost out being to naive trusted the word of cop and principal who didnt give af about him in the end result. Dukie as much as his shit life wasnt his fault where his fault lies is not being truthful with prezbo not wanting help, by the time he met with prezbo he was already too far gone. heroin is a serious addiction to break and starting out as a kid makes it even worst, can he be saved sure by his own determination to get clean but unlike bubbles where he broke the addiction due to his sisters help and other factors of him seeking help, i dont think dukie can accomplish that but its not impossible but his path to recovery is a tough one. mike future is gonna end unfortunatley just like omar killed or in and out of prison, and randy will eventually learn of his relation to the drug game and rely on that to survive as prop joe namesake carries weight but he too will become a victim to the streets of baltimore. But namond is the one who surprisingly let down his wall and seeked help and accepted the help however it came. the desperation in his scene with cutty that he has lost his friends and doesnt wanna be in the drug game, is what prompted cutty to reach out to colvin, who in turn asked wee-bay to let him adopt namond. there is a saying closed mouths dont get no food, meaning if you doint say that your are in need or call out to help normally people will assume you are fine, being upfront and truthful about their situation could have saved all four respectively by seperate adults but in the end they made their choice to go another direction.
I LOVED the Wire, especially Season 4. Best season of all TV shows ever!
This show moves me to tears.
This shit was too real bro especially being the kids age in this show at the time
the show was amazing how it never got to respect it deserved is incredible to me greatest show of all time
best show i've ever seen, hands down.
These storylines are brilliant...
Never thought of school like that ref: what Seth said. I loved the drama classes for the creative freedom and languages as it opens so many more opportunities to connect with people around the world. I don’t think we ever grow out of our true passions.
Season 4 was the best season but the conclusion was so sad.
agreed
I think season 2 is underrated...
I liked the Barksdale tower seasons the most.
@marcusgilmore5211 most definitely underrated
This shit made people think. Re watch value is real
absolutely classic show. I need to go back and watch it now.
just got done watching all the seasons again for the 100th time never gets old
What a phenomenal show.
“I think this will wake people up as to what the situation is in the school systems”
As someone who was a teacher for 4 years, it didn’t wake anyone up, not anyone important at least
damn growing up I knew about 4 of the 5 kids and was friends with a Michael, used to eat at my house always, my mom fed a few kids and neighbors in the neighborhood (building) I grew up in - NYC. Season 5 shed a lot of light as to the problems that plagued poor communities in America. As an immigrant to Latinos our immediate neighborhood did bond more, many of my black friends had it real bad. Mom had those brothas loving rice and beans, eggs and bananas. lol! (poor Latino man's full meal).
Your mom seems like an awesome women, tell her you love her.
same here. moms used to drop fried plantains, beans and rice on many of my black friends in the projects who were worse off and never heard of puerto rican cooking. for some of them it was probably all they ate all day
If it wasn't for some of my friends parents i would've starved
The lady played as snoop she's going to get a lot of parts in the movie business she's a good actor ,keep up the good work
Nah man, she was caught selling heroin 🤦🏽♂️
Nope she went to prison instead lol
@@davidabest7195 link me to a article
this show feels so real, so sad... the season finales are always so sad.. but real
Yep cheese is definitely Randy's dad
The best season of an extraordinary piece of drama.
BloggerMusicMan Theryre all important in my opinion I don't think I would be able to choose
@@jareddesilva6957 Fair enough. They are all really good. But I particularly like season 4 because the impact of the drug trade, local politicians and the work of the police all come together to impact children who can't possibly understand the forces going on around them. It's really heartbreaking. And the kids are all really interesting characters.
Season 4 was the best season of television ever made hands down.
yep the 2 plots of political battling and the school system was just fantastic
The best cable series ever!
Any Baltomorians here that can give 2020 updates on the issues the show addressed?
Actually baltimore has gotten worse. The murder rate is ridiculously high.
Randy is Bodie (or Cheese, since that was his pops, them sharing last names and all).
Micheal, Omar.
Dookie, Bubbles.
I can see Namond becoming Colvin.
A never ending cycle.
I always thought of Randy as more like prop Joe.
@@mellowords He was at first.
Now he's too hard to be that.
@@jonathanneal1319 huh? Am I forgetting something? When did Randy ever get hard, wasn't his story's ending basically getting passed around the foster care system? Don't remember him doing anything on the corners
@@mellowords He had to get hard in the foster care system.
He had a rep as a snitch, so he got beat up.
He had to get hard so he wouldn't be bullied anymore.
Remember when Bunk tried to get him as a witness again, and he had to yell that he doesn't snitch to police?
Awesome piece.
thanks for uploading.........
he became the boss of the group home though. looked that way from his cameo in season 5.
My most favorite characters of the entire series are Omar and Snoop.
whaaaaat? story is amazing man,def check it out,it gets better as it goes
you're all welcome ;-) best tv show ever
Dukie breaks my heart every time... so sad. Real tough to watch. Shame on self serving Baltimore politicans man.
0:47 my wife is a teacher and everything Seth Gilliam says here is absolutely true.
Mike= omar, Randy=Prop joe, Dukie=Bubbles connections are clear but what about Naymond? Orland? (mostly because of the hair)
First, Randy is Cheese's son (wagstaff) and mostly because he is a hustler! Businesman remember he used to sell candies in school! Like Prop Joe said : buy for a dollar sell for 2!!
Salvador Allende Naymond is what D'Angelo would have been if he wasn't killed. He wanted to get out of the game, just like Naymond.
Salvador Allende What about Tyrell and Kenard?
sanderiscool200
i definitely see Kenard as Snoop.
Jihad Legrand
randy...wagstaff, same family name
The American odyssey, man. Like looking at a doctors chart for American culture. Shows the causes of the disease and gives us a prognosis for the USA moving forward. And we’re experiencing the symptoms. All in 5 seasons.
I wish we got a part 2 with the kid when they grown
I liked the shield too but the wire is my top out of all the shows ive watched
I used to go to this high school in England and just like what those women said the school is and was turning into that school in the wire.
can somebody tell me what's the name of the song of the end?Cos its the best thing I have ever hear!
@josuneta Did you ever find the name of the song or where to download it? I've been looking for it for a long time too.
Mike & Duke could've been a force Duke probably could hack
8:14 to 8:29 is my favorite part
This whole season is just... * onions *
What's the song at 6:39??
Thats what i wanna know
Bro they played the roles so good I think they acting when they not
anyone know the background music when carver is talking at the start of the video?please
do they have this for the other seasons?
Very good point. Sadly this is a rare phenomenon
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays at the end? Or where I can download it?
same. what a fkn beat
What's the name of the music track at the credits? Any links?
am i the only one who thinks the teacher of the corner kids class is fine as hell...
I would kill to know the name of the song at 8:00.
The woman at 2.00 saying that one receives great care when in prison is delusional.
I think she was more comparing to how prisons used to be.
I think she was saying at least they are getting fed...
Prisoners get better care than some kids in Baltimore. Three meals a day, a bed to sleep on, and health care. That’s being well taking care of.
the song that starts at 6:38 anybody know what song is it?
I'm seeing conflicting accounts of current day Baltimore so could somebody tell me what it's actually like today? I've never been to the states but if The Wire's depiction of Baltimore is anything like real life then it's genuinely upsetting.
Western changing for the better. Eastern Baltimore still the same.
Randy's fate... :'C
Whats the song in the end ?
I really want to know the title of the track at the end. Looking at the end credits, it seems and sounds like Supa Mario and Vinny Idol did the track. Could be an exclusive commissioned piece.
Randy's father is Cheese (Method Man)
Thanks so much for uploading ! Is it possible for you to upload the other Behind the Seasons for Seasons 1 and 2 please? :)
3:36 mysterious 💫🌟✨6:07 hard child
A very good friend of mine moved to my city from Baltimore, east coast to the west coast, he would tell me stories about stuff that you see on the Wire. I asked him if he watched the show, he said no because he lived to tell what we see on the show.
Anyone know the name of the song played at 6:40?
Did ya find it ?
@@bonzita23 still looking, I think its produced by supa mario
Please I’m 28 and you got this right
And this was 13 years ago please
6:39 ☺️
@CanadianChronic2121 Yeah, that's an amazing scene. Both more brutal and more mundane than anything in Goodfellas even. My favourite character is Landsman.
Anyone know the name of the song at the end?!?
Season 4 Naymond, Dukie, Raymond and Michael = The Lost Boys
kids don't make it because broken families....schools make it worse. how do you make a world that maintains the family structure better
Damn Good TV
6:38 to the end ,I need to know the name of the song it makes me feel some type a way
No idea. I only found this: www.imdb.com/title/tt0857416/companycredits
gabachito88 preciate it
I had a serious hatred Randy's Principal!🤬🤬 She ruined that kids life explioting him and she didn't give a fk and was never held accountable!🤬🤬🤬
So no one knows the song at the end i guess?
anyone know the name of the song at 0.40?
6:40 people search for this song since this video was published… Does anyone know anything about it?
It's a shame Baltimore has gotten even worse since this was made
Murders have actually gone down quite a bit but it's certainly still a shithole. You can see the crime stats here:
www.city-data.com/crime/crime-Baltimore-Maryland.html
Are the stats clean?
no, stats are shit
Nah man we beat Chicago shit too out there
@@Andrew-3445 re-read your own stats. WTF are you talking about? Every category of violent crime is up.
6:22 - 6:27 I felt that
@ravemachin I think you didn't understand one single part of The Wire
Seth not really the street type, he was really hurt by that casting call
Music name please?
Anyone know the song at 6:40 ?
these are real people
6:21 analog horror moment
I wonder if cheese is Randy's dad
ugg interviewing Schmoke is basically interviewing one the reasons of the City of Baltimore's decline...
who?
first elected black mayor of Baltimore. Would love to hear some insight from those from Baltimore about his impact on the city and school system

Kids are gonna learn, the question is where?
