UCI World Cup Val di Sole - Lapierre Mavic Unity

Racing in Val di Sole is always an amazing experience. A unique track with thousands of roots, many rock gardens and an insane crowd makes this event special and unforgettable every season.
The fourth World Cup of the year was, once more, a one to remember. Unfortunately, Annie Last made the decision to stay at home to rest and prepare the next races of the calendar but, on the other hand, Erik Hægstad was again with us after his injury.
On Friday, Malene Degn, Thomas Litscher and Sebastian Fini took part in the XCC race with a solid result, Degn and Thomas secured the third row for Sunday. Fini tried his best but in the end, he prefered to save some energy for the XCO race.
On Sunday, the whole team gave their all on the track and despite the hot conditions, they managed to do a great race again. Sebastian Fini did his best World Cup result this season with a 14th place, Thomas Litscher was 26th, Malene Degn finished in 27th position, Isaure Medde 42nd and Erik Hægstad, with some mechanical problems, ended in 92nd place.
Now the World Cup season will take a break until the end of August to race in the beautiful country of Andorra!
