  • After the Danish National Championships with a double win for Sebastian Fini and the Swiss Nationals where Thomas Litscher managed to take the win in the XCC race, it was time for the whole team to travel to Lenzerheide (Switzerland) for the second round of the UCI MTB World Cup 2023. Unfortunately, Erik Hægstad couldn't be at the start line due to a sickness but he will be back soon!
On Friday, Sebastian Fini did a fabulous short track race to take the 3rd position and the first World Cup podium for the team this season. Annie Last, Malene Degn and Thomas Litscher completed a solid race to be in the front rows for the XCO race.
During the last official training on Saturday, the changing weather, with some rain and even hail, allowed the riders to test different settings and tires for the last dance on Lenzerheide, which is not going to be in the World Cup calendar next year.
On Sunday, it was time for the XCO Elite races. The crowd was ready to give all they had to cheer. The local rider Thomas Litscher did a stunning comeback from the 5th row to finish in a solid 9th place and less than one minute from the podium positions. On the other hand, Malene Degn also did a great job finishing really close to the TOP20 and Sebastian Fini, Annie Last and Isaure Medde fighted hard to keep improving race after race.
Next stop, Leogang! There we go!
