Great video mate! Lovely to see the tenere out again. I fully agree I think we have some wonderful scenery and roads round our beloved country. Love explore new roads. Take it easy mate look forward to the next one!!
Absolutely! Thanks 😁
Been working on my cbr1100xx and it’s nice to know you are working on yours too, keeps me motivated. Thanks man!
Glad to hear it!
Definitely appreciate a lot of what you said. Your bike project is endearing, a down to earth build, literally, lol. Also anticipating the accomplishment and knowing it’ll be a ride getting there. Your land is beautiful, with historical architecture, the green lanes and a lot of the older villages to me are picturesque as well. I live in a mountainous part of the states with hundreds of miles of forest roads, and arguably it’s considered quite majestic. That said, I’d rather the beauty and history of England. Definitely know what your next Tenere mod should be, power supply! Lol. Keep up the good work Rye👏
Just goes to show what can be done when you are a celeb !!! I ran a small Organic Farm shop for years worked so so many hours really hard hours and did manage to scrape a living Then you see what can be done by watching Diddly Squat ??? To be honest I could just cry !
but not being a negative person well done to all just wish I had the status to have done the same because when you work so so hard your family do suffer as mine did !!!!!!!!!!!!
i enjoyed this, thanks
I was there the same day it was a pleasure to meet you. I was the bloke on the gsa
Nice to meet you too!
I thought I recognised your voice.
You're the Blackbirds man. 😎👍
I am!
Totally agree about being out on the bike
All your videos are great bud, you deserve lots more views and subscribers! Keep it up 🏍️
This comment means so very much! Thank you for such positive and kind words
I had no idea who this video was from until I heard you mention the BB project :D - Just sayin' I was subbed before the BB project :P - I've also got a BB myself in Northamptonshire
Nice vid. The bike sounds nice.
Motorcycling is so therapeutic, definitely my happy place 😊 You're totally right about us not giving our country the love it deserves 👍
Very nice an chilled ride Mr Rye loving it 👌🏼.
Thanks 👍
It was a great video! I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Thank you so much!
👍🏍
You know that Yamaha bikes have an aux plug hidden behind the radiator that you can plug a usb socket into and mount on the handlebar. I did exactly that on my mt07, as I've turned it into a touring bike... Great for charging the phone while you ride.
Yeah 12v supply just need the adapter to give me a USB socket
@@BikesofRye Mounted the bracket under one of the handlebar bolts.
I subscribed because of the Blackbird. I owned one of the very first models when it came out, and even though I now ride a couple of BMW's I was interested in doing a restore on a Blackbird. Still one of the best bikes I have ever owned, including the original ZZR 1100. It was just so damn comfortable and fast. I rode mine to Perth and back here in Australia after buying it and not an ache or pain anywhere. I love this video too because I am a bit of a Clarkson's Farm fan, and I love your attitude as well. Keep up the good work and the Blackbird series.
Trading in my Tiger 660 for this one. Cannot wait to just to and explore around the back road.
I do this....just take the bike and go for a solo run, stop for a coffee and a bacon roll etc somewhere different and just absorb the day. Great to blow the cobwebs and stress away......me time.
Thanks for taking us for a ride, really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it
More videos like this. You seem like a good dude.
Regarding your Project bikes…. This is very appreciated that you working on a drive way, as someone who doesn’t have a garage, but loves tinkering with my bike or cars, I hate looking at those nice and spacious garages with bike lifts and air compressors inside…🥺why? Cause I want one too! 😝
Never mind going to diddly squat farm..get and fix that blackbird just left the poor thing in bits.. now get home and fix it 😂😂..hope you enjoyed the farm..
Awaiting on some parts to come back and will proceed!! 😁
Agree embrace our varied seasons, although still can't wait for the better weather. Clarksons Marmite but I'm definitely a fan. Cheers mate.
Couldn't agree more!
The s1000r was a better travel companion! 😂
It's back out end of April 😇
The feeling of just being on your own sounds quite sad but I love it I go out on my ZX6R and just chill of course I like to ride a bit faster when im in the mood maybe I should get a bike similar to the Tenere then the temptation to be naughty wouldnt be there and the chill would be even better, good vid mate.
hy there,
txs for the video
When was this filmed?
Any chance of charing the road (calimoto?)
It's the singing for me 😂👌🏼
Just as good as your singing in the shower? 🤣
Nice vid bud. I subscribed too when you started the blackbird. Your vid here was a bit short-lived though imho.
You could easily have expanded more on your bike, the lanes, the godawful British weather or indeed, about the situation at Clarkson's Farm, which is the main reason why people tuned in 😉
Really enjoy riding in a group, ,however it’s great riding on my own, travel slowly or quick, not chasing the head of the group,
That Tenere sounds quite nice, is it the same engine as the MT-07/R7?
Correct, same CP2 engine with a different map I think.
Thanks for the video mate. I know that I don't need to go to Clarksons farm. Cheers 😂
It is decent!! Just very busy and not quite finished yet
getting to the toilet on the farm must have been easy, already in the right gear lol
That's riding a motorbike all your stress goes away on a bike amazing feeling you feel free mite be dangerous but that's life gotta do what you gotta do to feel free
Another great video, I like the fact that you're just a normal bloke, not some ex-superbike racer or slimy second-hand bike salesman.
Just a suggestion, not many people ever do a review on a bike that includes what it's like to carry a pillion. Here in the real world, lots of us have wives, girlfriends, and non-binary odd pronoun types that we often have to take out with us for a ride, and it would be great to find out just how a bike like your Tenere handles with a pillion passenger.
Are you in rye kent? Im in folkestone
With the new gopros, you can plug a portable charger into them and the battery doesnt drain :D
I have a media mod with hero8... not sure you can with that one?
works for me through the USB C port on the media mod :)
With my Hero 9 I have the camera turned OFF when I plug the charger in, then it automatically turns on, and I press to start recording, have managed 4 hours on one battery :)
But if I plug it in after the GoPro is powered on I get 'issues' lol
@@BikesofRye just be wary if it's raining, you can just pull the charger out whilst recording and it continues on though
Why do you think you benefit from Supreme Unleaded? Absolutely see the point as a winter layup fuel, but I'd don't see the benefit unless you have a map for it.
I'm a fuels guy, genuinely trying to understand why.
There are studies showing that you get better fuel economy from premium fuel. Down to the lesser Ethanol content. Plus you get the extra additives with premium fuel
1h 59m. That's like the other side of the island.
Which part of the UK you from ?
Hertfordshire
Where’s the restaurant? Just a few old benches outside and a lay-by botulism box selling burgers?, no actual footage of the shop either. Your face at the end looked very un-impressed 😂
Apparently the restaurant got closed... I guess we will find out why in season 3!! As for the shop did you see the queue? 🤣
@@BikesofRye, that’s a shame, at least you can scratch visiting there off your bucket list 👍
Yeah I know my exhaust clips came off but I'm gonna carry on driving it till the whole thing falls off 🤦♂️
No wonder we need mot's 🙄😂
