Riding the backroads of the flatlands with my Yamaha Tenere 700. - Part 01

  • This ride happened in 2023 in the end of the winter.
The frozen ground just started to get muddy, and even if some areas are dried up by the winds and Sun, some are surprisingly slippery and sticky.
Riding solo on these tracks can be captivating if you drop the bike right in the middle of the puddle, or even worse: into the Canal next to the dirtroad. :D
There are no hills, no breathtaking vistas, but this area has it's own peaceful atmosphere. At the end of the video the shots around the little blue bridge are actually video footages, even if they look like photos. There was no wind to move the grass or to ripple the water.
    Just peace and silence.
    It was mesmerizing.

    Good morning 🙂
    Good and muddy ride.
    What tyres you are using?
    Best regards, Winni

      Good morning! :)
Thank you! Right now there are Mitas MC23 rockrider tyres on the bike, which is not the best solution for this kind of terrain, I am sure. Much better however than the OEM ones, which are better for the road riding.

Hi! What kind of roadbook program do you use? I'm from Hungary as well with a T7:)

      Hai!
      T7 forever! weeeee!!!! =)
I use the Piste roadbook reader on track, it's good and simple and free. =) You can also add any Bluetooth controller to roll it from the handlebar. This time I used a selfie stick shutter button only, but I already got a multi button one for setting the distances too.
To make the roadbook, I used the Tulip composer, - there is a short explain about that too if you roll back within my videos, - but unfortunately it stopped working a two weeks ago.
Now I am tinkering with the Seekers app (on Android), which is still beta. Unfortunately it doesn't adds signs and notifications next to the tulips, but it adds more detailed tulip tree with surroundings like bridges, buildings and water areas. And it makes it automatically, you don't need to bother with side road branches.
Good thing, you can add comments to it, and I found a way to paint manually the foliage and other marks where necessary directly on the final .pdf file.
But if you can pay 50USD/year for an app, you should use the Rallynavigator, probably it's the best atm. for any platforms.
