This particular work by the great Kurt Vonnegut, among all else he created, affected me more than any other. It's a timeless expose' of the human condition that seems to gain more power as we traverse our future into a seemingly more dystopian condition.
You're all in for a treat. I read this book at like 18-19; bought at St Mark's place in Village in 1994 when it was full of weed and tables selling used stuff like bongs and books. Blew my mind. A cool BX Science English teacher had us read short stories in Monkeyhouse and I stole an extra copy someone left behind to keep and read them all. Stealing and crime was cool with teens in the 90's, even elite schools. Shoplifting esp. I must have read 10 of his books in my read books in the 'read books in the sun while on weed' phase of life. Now I need audiobooks; to stay physically active and also get things done.
Seriously ur a legend. I usually get annoyed with narrators who are not "professional" or whatever but just from this first chapter I have really enjoyed your performance so far.
I was sceptical but wanted to say loved what you did im thankful for you posting this ive always wanted to read it but coudnt get myself to sit long enough

Ok, why is Vonnegut talking to us like we're 5? Should we be insulted? lol!
