And I think our guilty pleasure is watching content like this, we may think oh its cringe, what are they doing but secretly, we enjoy watching some content be it for reasons such as, oh my life isnt going well but atleast im better than them or somebody who needs drama in their life, and us Indians, have a great appreciation for drama. At the end of the day, people dont like everything, they see a viral clip, laugh about it then just forget about it, but the content creator wishes to experience the fame again, so they continue going down that spiral of making cringier and cringier content. But what if they make same category and type of movies then we loose interest on them. So, the simple terms... Viral content name its self is viral. So its short time fun. If any youtuber needs popularity they need to concentrate on content, quality of presentation, and ongoing changes in the world and people mindset. No matters what ever career we choose, constant learning is required to run along with this world.
The best example of internet fame is Emma Chamberlain. The moment she got popular and started getting hate, she stopped making videos. And started other way of making money such as hosting fashion shows, collaborating with brands, etc.
The points that you have mentioned are absolutely right. We as a audience are only interested in various dramas as a source of entertainment to fill the gaps in our life.
