It goes without saying, O'Neill Ops does an exceptional job with filmwork. This rifle and film was a great deal of fun to make. I struggled at first as to whether to take this project on. The limited research I'd done on the 300 AAC came back with mixed reviews. It seemed as though the accuracy performance was hit or miss. When James and I discussed this project we quickly agreed that top shelf components were a must if we were going to be successful. The machine work on the barreled action combined with the Manner's Chassis system clearly delivered for us. It's a good feeling when you can stick your toe into uncharted ground and come out on top. This rifle gents does exactly what a 300 AAC is supposed to do and it hits every note very well. It does it so well that we've taken it as inspiration for a next generation. Quietyly, over the last year and a half I have been working on a new cartridge. This one is 338 based and emulates eveyrthing the Blackout does, but with more authority down range. The 338 Krazy Ivan is an impressive little round. One almost tailor made for putting a hurt on the feral hog epidemic down in the south. We are close to releasing it and are very optimistic about its success. Thanks for all the support and for watching our stuff! James, thank you for all the hard work. Sweet lookin rifle! Have you guys killed anything with it? All I can find is one vid of you guys gut-shootin a dog with it that you had to finish off with the 22-250. I'm interested in 300 blackout, but I just can't find much proof of its terminal performance that impresses me. So, I'm curious, you guys have had this rifle for like a year, have ya killed many dogs with it? got any footage of that?

I have both bipods, it just happed that I had the Atlas on for the review!
We only hunt Coyotes when the fur is prime or when we have a local rancher want us to remove some problem coyotes.

ONEILLOPS Are you ever go to do some "how to" videos? Like where and how to set up. How to enter into your FFP...What to look for in an area to hunt to provide the best yield(s)...I guess just how be successful in hunting coyotes... I know most of your hunts have been in open country...have you done anything in a "woodland" environment?
The only thing is we set up much more cautiously and it takes much more time, because of the camera gear we equip... I still could do it, but it's not gonna be the same as your regular get outta your truck walk 200yds and call, like 90% of hunters!
What model line of the Cutting Edge Bullets are you using for the Black out?
What grain/type of ammo are you guys using? and does it seem to do as good of a job as 223/22-250's as far as dropping them on the first shot?
195 Raptors from Cutting Edge Bullets is the round we use... Sometimes they drop dead, sometimes they run a bit, it's not as effective when it comes to hydrostatic shock as the 22-250.

Do you guys only shoot subsonic when hunting? Do you guys use supersonic for longer hunting shots?

It was a straight contour but LRI re-contoured it to an AMU.

Should i buy a 22-250 , 243 or a 270 for dogs? So many opions

Why? Not douting your knowledge But i know a 270 savage would do the distance and i just feel not confident in the 250. Please help. -Anthony NB Canada , PS big fan of oneil ops
If your in Canada your fur is worth something... Use it... A 270 will work, but so will a 50 BMG, a 22-50 is inherently accurate, and easy on the fur... I like to use what the animal has to offer. If you don't, then by all means use a 6mm or 270, and let the fur literally "fly".

Found the cartridge choice an odd one considering the large open areas you hunt, but im not going to rain on the parade.... Everyone should get out there buy more new firearms and go kill some stuff.
I respect your service, your film quality, and your coyote hunting success, but you need to lighten up. You are not taking out Iraqi insurgents...........you are hunting coyotes! It is not a "weapon system"............it is not a "platform". It's a rifle! All that other terminology, outside of the military, sounds just plain silly.
