PS: I love you and your family so much & your hat looks so cute on you.
I like wearing hats like that & I get usually two reactions.

I laugh when I get the dirty looks.

Because that's just what people do, not to mention it gives you an excuse to eat a whole bunch of ribs, brisket, burnt ends, smoked turkey, and chicken. 😁👍

All I can say is, be careful in your travels... I loved Texas when I was there... I am 72 years old and learned many things, the grass isn't always greener some where else... I also learned, you have to travel, learn from all your experiences, see how the rest of the world lives, then return home where you may find it's the only sane place in the world... One last thing, always remember, mom and dad are only a phone call away, a parents love is eternal.... Stay safe, have fun and may God keep you and protect you... ✝❤

Nevaeh, my family, mom, dad, brother, moved to the center of Texas in '75. I went w them to help move, put in the grass, which was a truck load of grass squares. Dad and i also changed the 2 car garage into a game room. Then we poured a concrete pad and put up a shed. I stayed another month, working w a lical construction company. After 3 months i moved back home, Hickory NC. I could not, would not, no way live in Brownwood, Texas or anywhere further south or west!! Too, way too dry and hot. Not for me. Glad you got the experience. Y'all did a lot of fun stuff!! I enjoyed your parents video and now i got to enjoy yours. Thank you for sharing. 👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Neveah… To avoid ear pain on a plane ask the flight attendant to put moist paper towels in a styrofoam cup and heat in the microwave. Place one cup over each ear. The steam will help with the change in barometric pressure. Fight attendants are aware of this trick. It works. I’m a retired RN. Good luck with all your future endeavors. You might avoid the ear pain due to altitude changes on the airplane by clearing your throat to point you hear your ears ‘pop’ as the eustachian tubes open momentarily and the air pressures inside the ears equalize with outside the ear air pressure.
Sometimes drinking extra water will also help. Coffee and soft drinks actually dehydrate the body’s cells and could potentially make this air equalization process more difficult, thus increasing this ear pain on take off and landing due to the changes in air pressure at the different altitudes.
Sure enjoy your candid and personable videos!

Nevaeh, you are reacting to the excitement of a new place when you contemplate whether "Should I move to Texas?". Certainly I have felt that way many times over the years. But you are _not_ seeing the disadvantages of the new place so it seems attractive. Seek a more balanced perspective by visiting a few more places (at least six) before committing to any decisions.
Your experience with Texas barbecued meat so vividly recalls the ordeal I had when I was on a week long contract in the Freeport area. I had been a happy vegetarian for years and all I could find in Texas was carnivorous palace after carniverous palace. Even the green bean side dishes had bacon in them! After three days of starvation I eventually stumbled into driving down a back road that was not lined with steak houses and barbeque joints! Instead I found a smorgasboard restaurant where some (many) of the foods did _not_ have bacon grease sprinkled over them.
The trick seemed to be to avoid the tourist infested areas and saunter along two or three streets over from those.

    Neveeh,
I’ve watched you and your family grow from the original barn, then tiny home to where you all are today. I heard you say that your ears hurt when you are on a flight. The pain is due to an imbalance in the air pressure in your ears. In the olden days ( 1960s/70s) passengers used to be given a boiled sweet (hard candy) to suck on when the plane was taking off and/or landing. Apparently the physical effort of sucking hard was meant to equalize the air pressures and alleviate the different pressures being felt in different parts of one’s ears. When it equalizes the pain goes away..if you travel more on planes you might notice that little babies seem to cry during take offs and landings. The act of crying puts pressure on the various parts of the ear and equalizes the pressure thus stopping the pain. I used to just pinch my nose to stop all air passage and blow hard against the pinch until I felt my ears pop and then I was fine. I’ve been doing it now for overb60 years and it always works for me. You can practice it at home to feel what happens. Just punch your nostrils and try to blow your nose against nthebprssure you will feel. Eventually you will feel a popping sensation in your ear drums as the pressure changes. It may happens in one ear at a time but it can be one after the other. If you do this whilst on the plane either during ascent or descent you will notice an increase in the volume of the surrounding sound levels as the change occurs. Hope this helps you and good luck with you travels.

    FYI
2 tricks for flying on airplanes to protect your ears
    1 buy chewing gum and
chew it from takeoff and until the airplane reaches its flying altitude
Then when the attendants say the plane is going to start descending to land at your destination start chewing another piece of gum until the plane lands
    2. If you don’t have chewing gum
Then you have to force yourself to yawn several times as the plane goes from the ground to flying altitude & then later when descending to land
Yawning helps break the pressure in your ears

I used to suffer from horrible ear pain on an airplane, particularly when we started descending. Then, my doctor suggested I blow my nose to clear the ear, nose, and throat canals/passages. He was right. As soon as you feel the slightest discomfort or popping, start blowing your nose--not too hard, just enough to clear any phlegm. Do it every 20 or 30 seconds as needed. I've never had ear pain on a plane since.

Nevaeh, I used to live in Smithville Tx as a child. We lived across the street from the house that was on the movie Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock. We moved to Alabama when I was 5 because my Dad was killed, and all our family lived in Alabama. I have always wanted to go back to visit and to go to see Chip and Joanna Gaines in Waco. That is one of the items on my bucket list. So glad you had a great time. Tell your Mom and Dad ,love their videos never miss one. You are beautiful and very talented. Keep up the good work.

Ear block can be cleared by doing a procedure called Valsalva. Pinch nose & blow air into ears by force, gentle force. This blockage will also be expierenced when going up higher in the mountains.

Nevah, a decongestant can help with the ear issue and so can a scuba diver's trick of holding your nose, close your mouth and blow gently so your ears "pop" - just be sure to start doing it as soon as you feel pressure. If you wait too long you can hurt yourself. It also works when changing altitude driving up mountains - safer than getting drowsy from a decongestant!

When I was flying up and back to school (Honolulu to Corvallis, OR) I used to chew tu to keep my ears from plugging and hurting. Maybe the next time you fly you could try chewing gum.

After watching your parent's video of the Texas trip, it was awesome to see all this extra footage. Glad you had a good time, but no need to move there. You already live in paradise Nevaeh. Plus, you have a 1-bedroom apartment being built that is calling your name. Loved the video.

Loved the video editing, especially the bull riding. I have lived in Texas all my life and love it but the hot summers are brutal, you have it made living in the mountains. Keep up the amazing video editing.

Glad you enjoyed your Texas adventure! Buc-ee’s is a “must do” on a Texas road-trip! As much as I’ve loved living in the DFW area of Texas he past 20+ years, I’m ready for less traffic and more quiet. My boys, however, love the opportunities here.

Loved this video, Yes! You do look absolutely beautiful in your cowboy 🤠 hat..it suits you♥️what a fun trip for all of you, new experiences, meeting new people, seeing what a big city has to offer. I, myself, prefer rural areas, grew up on a large ranch/farm in SE MT..have lived in a few big cities…not for me… but then, I’m 64 yrs old, not a young lady, out exploring what different parts of the country have to offer. Love your parents channel too. One of my favorites. Keep up the great content, always enjoy watching. Love/Blessings 💜🙏🏻🤗🤠

As a native Texan, so happy y’all found & enjoyed Buccee’s. If y’all come again, try the Austin , San Antonio area….. Tex Mex , south side bar b que, and further south, seafood ( Cajun style). Your editing skills are soooooo good! And very entertaining too. ✨💛🌟💛✨
