I actually really like the second combo. I feel like it’s cleaner than the synchro combos in some ways, and a little more economical when considering Nib. You don’t need to pitch for both witch and jet, just witch
Great video! Really like the second combo, just feels clean to go into Apo that early and comfortably play from there. Oh and btw, no need to worry to mess up the chain links with Selene and Poplar, since Selene will always be CL1 because her effect is mandatory and Poplar can't go on chain before she does. :)
Played this Version at Locals today. Went 4:1 and got 3rd Place. 2 Flame and 1 Diabell feels weird, but its worth it. Also i have a Negate for Talents again!
This first combo doesn't really check for nib imo. The OG combo that was apo for 3, Flamberge IP did bc oak threatened the flamberge+IP. In this situation if you get nib'd you end on no real interrupts.
Don’t think nib will be as big in the format depending on how tenpai keeps doing in tournaments
It doesn’t in the same way, definitely. There’s contingencies im trying to figure out for it but that’s completely valid.

Flamburge is the 5th summon so it feels fine. You have plays after nib.
@@EdisonLocalsMK I'm pretty sure they mean after you make the IP, you bring back the 2 guys and SED in backrow and if they nib there you have nothing. you can summon out the SED but a link 2 doesn't get you anywhere.
At 5:06 the only legal way to construct that chain is CL1 Selene CL2 Poplar anyway because Selene is mandatory while Poplar is optional.

No need to chainblock for selene. Her spell counter gain is mandatory!
for the first combo, you dont need to make hiita. the snake-eyes diablestarr is already a spellcaster for selene so any link 2 that is a fire!

You dont need to use hiita in the 1st combo, since snake diabellstar is a spellcaster. I also dont like that it loses to a nib. Standard line at least guarantees flamberge+ip and doesnt require you to play a link spider to put something up. Also for the 2nd combo, selene always has to be cl1 so theres no way to mis-sequence that part.
But how do you go Selene with Princess on board?
You have to use hiita to clear princess. The line doesn’t hard to lose to nib if you play spider, which if you aren’t playing Jet you’ll have room for, but that’s a valid point.
Second combo, I haven’t bothered closely reading Selene in a HOT minute so that’s good to know 🤣
@chrisszocker866 I was just saying you can use a diff link like phoenix or pitknight if you value the hiita more for the grind game.
That’s fair but I feel like you’d wanna use the hiita more, the phoenix comes up for the zealantis lines more often.
@ZButlerYGO depends on the gamestate tbh, and the matchup ofc. But phoenix can be revived off princess and if you're playing pitknight it's almost a given to use that since it synergizes really well with se diabellstar. And in the hope harbinger builds I feel the space let's you easily fit pitknight
You have to open diabellstar and snake eye to not lose to nibiru. Also, if your opponent only does snake eye combo.. it loses to nibiru
Just ash can play through nibiru like it did before, so if that’s your concern, the previous ash line does just fine. the deck doesn’t lose to nibiru nearly as much as you’re making it sound unless the person is playing unnecessarily greedily.
I love the video but it just doesnt seem like the one card Ash Combo plays well into nibiru. Ending on IP with an oak in spell/trap just doesn't seem that strong. Is there anyway to play better around nibiru?
It plays well through a nibiru, ending on that field nets you follow up and interruption, but if you don’t like that line, the older ash solo line does a better job of playing through it

For reference came to say two top Greek players in the recent Greek open, invented the combo after working for weeks, it ends up using the new card to make harb number 38 🍻

Having 2 flamberge and snake-eye diabellstar in the deck feels bad for the consistency. 🤔
It’s really not, it’s the same as any 3-of really.
Playing 1 Snake-Eye Diabellstar and 2 Flamberge means that you don't play Jet Synchron (well, as it stands for the time being). So the consistency remains as it used to be
