My Pokémon team in pokemon moon is all ghost types, but it’s actually fairly good. I managed to beat my sister a lot, and she wasn’t limiting herself like that. My Pokémon are a Mimikyu, a Dhelmise, a Froslass, an Alolan Marrowak, a Pallosand, and a Drifblim. The secondary types are pretty varied, and Mimikyu’s fairy type deals with dark types.
I like picturing my character walking into places surrounded by all these ghosts, and all the NPCs being weirded out by it but just being too polite or scared to mention it. I picture that when I feed the Pallosand pokébeans it doesn’t actually take bites out of the beans, and instead the beans just shrivel up after having their essence drained.
Ash is such a Cheater when it comes to his Habit of Taking 2 Starters! That always made me wonder! Yet he still doesnt Wins! He's a Cheater who loses! Just like POkemon is supposed to teach us! ...What an Irony made by Arceus is that??

No seriously, a lot of gamer channels that do live-action segments have multiple shelves filled up with games and collectibles. HeavyDonkeyKong And they wanted Infernape to get more attention. Also, Ash's Torterra couldn't even use Earthquake because they banned it from the anime.
@@heavydonkeykong5190 It’s not even that! That doesn’t matter in the anime..Pikachu beat a DRAGONITE. It was a joke because it didn’t fit ash’s play style: fast sweeper. It tries to move faster than it’s able to and fails as well as it’s defenses weren’t raised or anything leaving it poor at taking hits. Any tanky torterra could handle quite a few blows and dish out some heavy hits in between attacts, ash’s just was poorly trained.
@@testerwulf3357 that's true. Almost every ace Ash has ever had is either super fast or at least favors being offensive. Snorlax is the only outlier iirc.

SpawnTeg The cyborg ghost/angel Not really, Ash lost not because of logic, but because the writers from Black and White were forced to write this episode. The original XYZ writers planned to let Ash win the Kalos team.
1:16 I don't know who will see this but I have a very slight Pokemon related dilemma that is similar to the one Lockstin is having here. I am a casual collector of Pokemon cards and I like to have them arranged by type and I also like keeping Pokemon from the same evolutionary lines next to each other but I have a problem. Galarian Slowpoke is a Psychic type card and Galarian Slowbro is a Dark type card. Do I mix types so that Galarian Slowpoke can be next to Galarian Slowbro or do I keep them separated so that there aren’t two random purple cards in the pile of black cards?
I never get the Ash is a bad trainer think in his 1st year of training in not only did he make in a National Tournament in the first place but make in the top 16. find a ten-year-old who in the same year that is pick up a Pokemon game he makes top 16 in his National Tournament. And in every Tournament, since he gotten top 8 or better five years in a row. Most Tournament player would dream on consistently doing that well. Just said using the 2016 price poll of National Tournament, Ash would have won $11,750, plus 7 playmats and 306 pack of Pokemon cards (worth $1,220.46 unopened) and 3,246-lifetime Championship Points in 7 tournaments. he doing something right for sure.
Yeah but does your top 8 finisher who keeps going to national tournaments and loses 7 times in a row really the person people will find interesting as a protagonist? Like, the only time he really seemed "good" compared to all the other people was in gens 4 and 6... and in gen 4 he would've won the tournament if not for Tobias who was just BS, and in gen 6 I also think his loss was BS. The other four leagues he's been in though he's clearly been outclassed by someone else in the tournament... hell, in BW he lost to a guy who thought a full battle only had 5 Pokemon in it. And that person then lost to someone else in the tournament so he wasn't even the best one there.
victikirby15 I heard somewhere that if ash won a league the series would end but he never actually enters the league just the preliminaries, I'd think it be better if he just won the lumious conference and lose the actual kalos league
It might be unrelastic for a character to reach champion level in a year tho. This isn't a video game. I'd say every three gens. First gen main character loses in either the finals or semifinals. Second gen they win the league but lose to e4 or champion. Third gen they win the league and beat the e4 and champion. IMO.
Dark Knight pikachu couldn't even use any electric moves because of Zekrom, kids these days never will understand that plus the guy who said lvl's doesn't exist is right
pikachu is still a 2nd stage evolution with higher stats than a base from snivy, levels actually do exist in the anime they showed it in the very first gen with that pre school or whatever pikachu shouldnt have had a hard time with a snivy. dont call people kids just because people dont have the same opinion.
they retconned that episode completely. Do you know why that episode is not cannon? ASH WAS INTERESTED IN A GIRL IN THAT EPISODE AND WE KNOW THATS IMPOSSIBLE.
Great vid but in the team you chose if the Pokémon evolved, which they would over time, that team could become quite good. A feraligatr and Samurott. Samurott can counter grass types with bug moves, and feraligatr can learn thunder punch for the water weakness
That doesn't make it bad. It makes its opponents strong. All of the pokemon that defeated it were clearly powerhouses. Volkners electivire and Paul's drapion for example.
I'm tired of ash losing in the Pokemon league because the other trainer had a legendary or pseudo legendary Pokemon. I feel like the writers lost ideas and this is how they rush an ash loss.
Kalos bucked that trend when Pikachu knocked out Metagross. It really came down to Ash-Greninja vs Zard X(spoilers, sorry). That was one well trained Charizard
@Ege Yılmaz that's not true winning just makes you the region champ he wants to be a true master. as long as there are things to win he won't consider his journey over.
InklingSethO you can read a book or go outside or play pokemon. Regardless of whether or not you like those things or have done them to death or not, they're still marginally better than what you're doing right now.
Pretty sure most people would rather have a hero who keeps trying, no matter how many times he loses over some guy that (for some reason) is never *_allowed_* to lose. When you've got a protagonist like Ash, you shouldn't be constantly thinking "How is he going to pull a win out of his ass *_this_* time?", when the possibility of him losing existing adds stakes to a battle. "In most cases, a character who always wins or always loses is a boring character."
Yes, I agree with you, but Ash could at least learn from previous experience and maybe even retry the League. That would improve the character greatly. Also, don't threaten to kill people over fictional characters. They have their opinion, you have yours. Let them be and they'll leave you.
+Mr. Pokirby He always loses, though, outside of unimportant stuff. Seriously, there's a reason why it's a meme that we only got any series past the first was because so many Kanto gym leaders dropped pity badges on him.
This reply is a little late, but in my opinion the orange islands league was BS. A dragonite with 8 moves was one of the Pokémon he had to beat (yes, 8 moves.) and what does ash win after winning? A trophy. No champion title, just a trophy.
FluffyNugget its the anime, do u expect it follow the rules of the games? His snorlax knows 6 moves but no annoyance there? Really dude just stop already. Levels and the amount of moves one Pokemon can learn are irrelevant to the anime.
From what I recall Totodile's personality has actually helped it in battle more than hurt it, as it made it harder to hit and predict. Furthermore when Totodile did lose, it was because it was outright overpowered by the opponent (usually in part to Ash having limited understanding of types at the time).
Furthermore a lot Ash's "worse" Pokemon have lesser ratios because Ash sends them into or keeps them in bad situations, especially early on. So can you really count a loss on the Pokemon if it was Ash's decision that lead to the defeat? What about when Ash has to face more impossible odds, such as his final battle in the Sinnoh League, should you really count those losses?
I personally don't count Snivy's "loses". You look at what actually happens in those episodes Snivy faints and its really because of poor writing and/or Ash being an idiot, not because Snivy was weak.
Snivy would've beaten Cameron's Riolu, but it EVOLVED into Lucario in the middle of a battle, and whenever a Pokemon evolves in the anime it basically just gets rid of whatever damage it had and becomes OP for the rest of the battle
He doesn't. Pikachu just doesn't have a special form like him. If Pikachu was capable of transforming, he would have. Its like how not every pokemon can mega evolve.
HeavyDonkeyKong Greninja cannot Mega Evolve. Nor could he transform into Ash-Greninja (before Battle Bond). Pikachu and Greninja are the same on the terms of Mega Evolving. What you’re saying is that any Greninja can transform to look like their trainer, but that’s not the case. Thanks for trying (but failing) to answer my question.
That's not what I said... I was saying that greninja species has the potential to use the form, but pikachus species doesn't, like how some pokemon have no potential to mega evolve. Just because ash's greninja has a transformation that is activated by their bond does not mean that he and greninja are closer than he and pikachu. Hasn't ash stated numerous times that pikachu is his best friend?
Objectively speaking wouldn't his worst team be when he only had a level 5 Pikachu that wouldn't obey him? By definition ANY Pokémon added to his team has to be better than that.
Talonflame got nerfed into the ground so no longer OP. Serperior is also not OP because it's only coverage moves are like Dragon Pulse and Hidden Power so it gets destroyed by a lot of common competitive Pokemon even with Contrary. Besides, Ash has a Snivy. Not a Serperior. And I'm pretty sure his Talonflame didn't have Gale Wings.
2:48 Wow Maxill be careful what you say cause Goh is the embodiment of that CATCHphrase and many people think he's trash cause he catch all galar starters and pokemon in general with ease and his goal is unreasonable. Bur i wonder what you think of him.
They are so hard on Ash. He is 11 years old. The entirety of his experience has occurred in the time of 1 year. Many of his losses with pikachu and charizard, occurred when he was brand new and the effectiveness of his Pokemon was based more on their personality and willingness to fight and not on Ashs ability to lead a team. He is incredible for his amount of experience and has definitely made decisions that require impressive skills in critical thinking and creativity. He's going to be very good as an adult.
Cody Farias You...you do know he's never growing up, right? The writers will *NEVER* let him win, *NEVER* let him grow up, and *NEVER* let him "catch 'em all".
Next time you do something like this again, i would recommend you looking at the Pokemons move set to. For example, Volkner has an Electivire and because it has both Fire Punch and Ice Punch it has moves to counter both it's grass weakness and it's ground weakness. Not doing this was Eryizo's biggest mistake in his series about the best starter Pokemon. Also, i'm not saying this because i hate you, i actually think you're better then Game Theory, it's just an advise so that you can become a better video creator
Denhead Moon game theory is the largest channel on RUclips that talks about game theories. With more then 8 million subscribers, he is by far the largest
It is possible to have an incredibly solid team of pokemon with the same type however that is provided they don't all play the same role. (Tank, wall, sweeper, support)
The only worst Pokemon in Ash's team are the unevolved pokemon. If you asked me Ash should have evolved all his Pokemon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenne, Shinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola because since the writers have no intention to show them again in the future like 2020 then they might as well evolve any way. I know some of Ash's Pokemon has evolve but there others that didn't like Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Bayleaf, Quilava,Totodile, Corphish, Buziel, Gible,Snivy, Pignite, Oshawott, Scraggy, Boldore,Palitoad and Rowlet who shouldn't have hold the everstone in the first place. I don't care how popular they are in Japan they still should have evolved in the first place.
after greninja in kalos talonflame is ash's second best pokemon according to his win rate never lost without knocking out a pokemon he won against slaking and talonflame (when it wa a fletchinder) who defeated hawlucha and the battle against that iceberg too
They talking about Ash's worst Pokémon but meanwhile I'm also distracted by Toby's Togepi Egg plush in the background... It's so cute! Where'd he get it?! 🥚🥰
'Dub' as a concept isn't taking a show in one language and adding voice overs in another. Anime is typically animated before they even get to the voice acting stage, so the voice actors are literally dubbing over what's already animated. So yes, it's still a dub.
I don't like how so many people hate on Ash for losing you act like you have never lost a battle before and course Ash is gonna lose because every trainer loses and plus its the anime some moves work differently then in the game and the pokemon do not have levels the trainer is strong based on his/her status (like there you rate) So next you say ash loses to much think about this haven't you a pokemon battle before
i dont thinkk ash past his former ego he is never be too good for a big challenge and never to fullfill his dream so yeah remember ash was a really snob in the beginning of gen 1 which is hillarious and dont learn to contenz his ego best highlight he god possed by a king who would wn everthing
Ya know. The Charizard battle wasn’t all that fair. Ash was facing a guy powerful enough to take on the elite 4 and before you mention the type advantage it was a Mega Charizard X which is not weak to water anymore.
Although Torkoal was able to keep up against Registeel pretty well. And it mostly cries when it’s of joy rather than fear or grief it’s actually shown itself to be a pretty fierce warrior.
Worst team: based on the top worst I'd just say his gen 5 mons excluding pignite and krookodile. I'd also say pikachu but he lost to a lot of mons that gen including a snivy lmao
I don't care that Charizard was Mega Evolved, Greninja was super powered and fighting for the main character. AND HE HAD THE TYPE ADVANTAGE. Or technically type neutral due to Dragon resisting water while also being simultaneously Fire type. Anyways, here's the reality, Ash just isn't supposed to win. It's why I just flat out don't watch the league parts of the anime. The gym battles are cool but Ash losing the league is so predictable and it happens so often that I just don't even bother.

My Pokémon are a Mimikyu, a Dhelmise, a Froslass, an Alolan Marrowak, a Pallosand, and a Drifblim. The secondary types are pretty varied, and Mimikyu’s fairy type deals with dark types.
I like how there’s never a boring ghost type (Except maybe haunter).
Yeah, no one asked...

Ash isn’t good with slow pokémon, torterra is a slow tank. He didn’t train it at all for said style leaving it bad at it! It tries to move faster than it’s able to and fails as well as it’s defenses weren’t raised or anything leaving it poor at taking hits.
Why does Ash lose so much?
Because the writers want to keep the shitty show going, that's why
Cliche.com.istimetostop
victikirby15 I heard somewhere that if ash won a league the series would end but he never actually enters the league just the preliminaries, I'd think it be better if he just won the lumious conference and lose the actual kalos league
PikaFan Fan Then explain the orange islands
A new character each gen would be a breath of fresh air
It might be unrelastic for a character to reach champion level in a year tho. This isn't a video game.
I'd say every three gens. First gen main character loses in either the finals or semifinals. Second gen they win the league but lose to e4 or champion. Third gen they win the league and beat the e4 and champion. IMO.
Ash' pikachu lost to a lvl 5 snivy
Dark Knight It was level 16 since it had Leaf Tornado, still trash tier writting.
Kirikiatoz Lols levels in the anime and in the game aren't the same at all
Dark Knight pikachu couldn't even use any electric moves because of Zekrom, kids these days never will understand that plus the guy who said lvl's doesn't exist is right
pikachu is still a 2nd stage evolution with higher stats than a base from snivy, levels actually do exist in the anime they showed it in the very first gen with that pre school or whatever pikachu shouldnt have had a hard time with a snivy. dont call people kids just because people dont have the same opinion.
they retconned that episode completely.
It would be hilarious if Torcoal managed to learn water gun by going full sobble.
I like the 'Torterra isn't bad' when Tortetta's ONLY victory as a Tortterra was against Team Rocket. It lost EVERY SINGLE OTHER BATTLE.
That doesn't make it bad. It makes its opponents strong. All of the pokemon that defeated it were clearly powerhouses. Volkners electivire and Paul's drapion for example.
but it battled against terry's hippowdon elite four and drapion was very powerfull
And Noirvern never won anything by himself, even torkoal is stronger
"Pikachu is trash"
First time Lockstin and Maxill have agreed.
Raichu forever
I'm tired of ash losing in the Pokemon league because the other trainer had a legendary or pseudo legendary Pokemon. I feel like the writers lost ideas and this is how they rush an ash loss.
Well... when he has Psuedo's, they are weak AF because not trained properly.
Kalos bucked that trend when Pikachu knocked out Metagross. It really came down to Ash-Greninja vs Zard X(spoilers, sorry). That was one well trained Charizard
And there’s that one guy in gen 4 who had a Darkrai and Latios.

I thought Ash had a Dewott by the end of B/W... Maybe I'm misremembering
InklingSethO you found Brock annoying too then?
Seriously, there's a reason why it's a meme that we only got any series past the first was because so many Kanto gym leaders dropped pity badges on him.
the sheer popularity of Sword Art online begs to disagree.
Mr. Pokirby but his losing isnt exciting. It is frustrating
I'm slowly starting not to care anymore because Ash always loses. Any league he joins, beside the Orange Islands, he loses.
ASH WON IN THE ORANGE ISLANDS... I don't know why, but people not saying this for the last few years has built up an weird anger in me.
ShockwaveITB It's a bit understandable, I think most people just have a mindset that the Orange Islands weren't as... "Legit..."
Tristen Carranza I know, but it’s fun to point out. I love the anime but it’s fun to point out the inconsistencies lol
FluffyNugget uh hu.
0:43 what the heracross is that?! Some sort of weird black charizard corrupted by the Dark ball?
Ash's worst Pokémon is obviously
Lockstin
matthew hogarty Ash worst pokemon is himself.
@@Elmithian So true.
I personally don't count Snivy's "loses". You look at what actually happens in those episodes Snivy faints and its really because of poor writing and/or Ash being an idiot, not because Snivy was weak.
Because Ash is a F***ING IDIOT ~Snivy the Pokemon
Snivy would've beaten Cameron's Riolu, but it EVOLVED into Lucario in the middle of a battle, and whenever a Pokemon evolves in the anime it basically just gets rid of whatever damage it had and becomes OP for the rest of the battle
They you cannot count any losses or wins, since if they win, its poor writing for the opponent in favor of Ash.

Joshua Hart agreed
How does Greninja have a stronger bond with Ash than Pikachu??
HeavyDonkeyKong Fine then, what decides if a Pokémon can transform into a fusion form? Greninja can’t mega evolve, just like pikachu.

Talonflame is also OP

Talonflame got nerfed into the ground so no longer OP. Serperior is also not OP because it's only coverage moves are like Dragon Pulse and Hidden Power so it gets destroyed by a lot of common competitive Pokemon even with Contrary.

2:42 anybody know where to find that clip of Ash’s Pokémon?
They are so hard on Ash. He is 11 years old. The entirety of his experience has occurred in the time of 1 year. Many of his losses with pikachu and charizard, occurred when he was brand new and the effectiveness of his Pokemon was based more on their personality and willingness to fight and not on Ashs ability to lead a team. He is incredible for his amount of experience and has definitely made decisions that require impressive skills in critical thinking and creativity.
He's going to be very good as an adult.
Cody Farias he is 10
He suck
Cody Farias You...you do know he's never growing up, right? The writers will *NEVER* let him win, *NEVER* let him grow up, and *NEVER* let him "catch 'em all".

Next time you do something like this again, i would recommend you looking at the Pokemons move set to.
For example, Volkner has an Electivire and because it has both Fire Punch and Ice Punch it has moves to counter both
