Love Zeee lipos!! I have zero issues with them. I have the normal hard packs and actually got a couple of the 4s Zeee premium 120c 9000mah ones I run in my Losi Dbxle and super rock rey and are great! They really make some great, budget batteries!! Definitely my Go to brand. Much better than the more expensive powerhobby ones that are junk.
Although I love the quantum, and own 2hpi’s; Redcat gets my vote …I just love the Valkyrie, it’s a tank for the price point .. , your videos and content are awesome…. (I saw Rlaarlo used your. Video on their website!!! That’s Pretty dam cool . (Unless u didn’t. Consent .) all that hard work is paying off bro… it’s only up from here my friend !!!!!! RecRC!!!!
OMG I didn't know they used our video! That's awesome. Do you know which page? Thank you so much for the kind words as well, and I hope you love that Valkyrie.
Absolutely love the Valkyrie. Cant sleep so I am outside ripping it around watching your video. To think that this new 2s Mini Maxx will be putting out will be about the same price of the Valkyrie is crazy. How could someone buy that over the Valkyrie, if you value performance. I also own the Talion exb and love it but you just showed a vechile in the Valkyrie, that is $400 less expensive, give the Talion a beating. The other thing I love about it is, it stops on a dime literally. If you try braking yhe same way with say, the Maxx, it is gonna toppple for 50 yards. Definitely rc of the year material!
It really is the breakout performer of the year, and for the price maybe ever, when you consider it's good on all surfaces, durable,.looks great sitting still or blitzing along at 60 MPH, it really is a ton of RC, for a lightweight price.
I had that HPI… sold it in a week! For me it was a cursed truck. I took it out three times and it broke each time. Not from wrecking it. Just from driving it! So it went bye bye! Yours seems to be ok
This footage is fantastic Johnny crash 💥 I was looking into the redcat but I think the extra 160 will be worth it to get the outcast as my next rc imo.
I have the same CNHL sticker on my Kagama. Just started using their batteries because the Max 8 ESC killed my cheapo (Hoovo) batteries because the C rating was fake and over discharged them (7.3 volts for a 3s battery is a massive voltage sag that killed my Hoovo supposedly 50C batteries) The CNHL give much more punch (120C) and they don't over discharge. Excellent batteries. Redcat has some issues with their driveshafts pins breaking. I have no experience with HPI\Maverick I bought a Team Corally Kagama roller last month, because i wanted a bigger truck. I'm sure the V2 Redcats will be much better, or maybe the aftermarket will step in with those pin fixes. Like i said, I've never had experience with HPI, but some of their decisions seem hit or miss, but they do offer good value on paper.
Yes HPI does offer relatively great performance for low prices, but as you said, some of their decisions do sort of make me scratch my head and wonder.
And the issue with the pillow balls is the plastic stretches each time they pop out, making it happen again easier. Team Corally had that issue with early trucks, but the balls on my Kagama have been solid through some jumping and a few heavy crashes and cartwheels.
I have the Quantum+ XT. Perfect truck, rubbish plastics and some serious design flaws like: no metal brace in front of the hinge pins of the suspension arms below. Because it's integrated with the "gear box" (150166). Because almost everything is connected to it, it's pretty annoying to replace. When you want to service the diffs, it all have to be disassembled. To be fair, it is a great car to drive. And when you have some option parts (HD shock shafts HD drive train components and aluminium brace are the most important ones). My local shop told me they are currently selling the last stock of the cars based upon this platform (Quantum R, Quantum Rally, Quantum+ XT, Quantum XT and Quantum MT). The Quantum2 MT and XT is their way forward. Hope to see an improved Quantum2+ XT model, because in fact the Quantum+ XT is a lot of fun to drive. But also annoying for its fragility.
I also have this same truck. Totally agree with everything you say. I made my own chassis braces, tower to tower with metal rods, that helps keep it way more rigid and less likely to chew through spur gears. Definitely a fun truck, especially if you keep it on the ground rather than in the air. Those pillow balls haven't given me any trouble yet, but the arms.. fuck me! Any ways.. I also hope they make an xt + 2.
The Redcat is on 4s. But the thing about rc speed is that the amount of battery cells isn't what makes speed. It's the RPM of the motor and the ratio of gearing. For example, the Redcat has a 1900KV motor, and the HPI has a 3300KV motor. The HPI has a runs 45,580 RPM at max Voltage, and the Redcat runs 31,920 RPM. The speed difference comes from the gearing and the Redcat having taller gear ratios. We also have 3s cars that can outrun the Redcat.
Do not get that Maverick truck. If it's enough for you, I ended up THROWING IT AWAY because it was such a POS unreliable and weak rc. I've bought many rc vehicles in the past. And the Maverick was by far the worst of them all. My experience. Thanks for the video.
@@Rek_Rc Exactly. They are poorly built indeed. I would take that RC any day over that garbage Maverick. And even worse, the Maverick is hard to work on too. Another minus.
Well I hope you kept the electronics, because that would be poo poo to throw them away. I'm sure some of it is good for something? I've only thrown away 2 RCs completely, one a WL toys which kept burning the battery wires with bad motor placement, which would start a fire if they both touched. And the other one was a Temu RC, nuff said about that.
Please tell me you didn't literally "throw it away" 😢... And was it the new ones like in this video or the older v1 model? That's weird because I heard they were pretty tough from other users. Then again we know how rc luck can be. 2 guys could have the same truck and one guy drive like he stole it with no breaks and the guy who babies that same model rc and breaks every run. Sometimes it's just some ole bad rc luck

@PeterAlbury-b4l yeah you're right, it's not. But I hope you had fun watching anyways. I bought that one because it was a spur of the moment idea while Adam was at the hobby shop.
Yes the 2 is better, but this was purchased in the moment because it was in sight at the hobby shop and the same price, so we thought we'd check it out.
@@Rek_Rc I love the look of their 2wd jumpshot stadium truck that tomley had (maybe on his second channel?) but i think so far they have XT and MT? there was a road version of V1 also
I think if they bought out maverick, they should have made improvements. HPI brand cars aren't half bad at all, but these budget Maverick brand ones look good, drive really well, but are as delicate as wine glasses in a mosh pit.

Best rc channel ever!!!!!!!
Wow! You just won the pinned Comment of the video! Thank you!
Damn this is the perfect video rc race. That drone makes it much better. Im glad i just bought a valkyrie. That redcat is amazing.
The Valkyrie is probably our RC car of the year pick!
@Rek_Rc great choice. I just ordered 1 last night because they are only 240$ right now. This is def the best truck of 2024.

I really love the recent direction redcat is taking.
They are on sale right now for $240. Great time to buy! That's an insane deal!
That Redcat with some new battery straps and maybe shocks and you have an awesome truck!! Imagine when you can get all sorts of upgrades!!
I think with how popular that truck is becoming, a load of upgrades aren't far off
Your drone footage is the ish!subbed!
WOW thank you 🙏 we really appreciate that, we always hope people like seeing the racing from that POV
Hey Rek Crew. My choice is the Redcat. They have been killing it lately. As always, you guys rock.

Cool trucks for sure, but I don't think anything compares to that Redcat for the pricepoint. Was this the Quantum 2? Or the original?
Agreed, for the price, the Redcat is the current 1/10 scale champ right now.
love all of them, and would be happy to own any of them but the redcat looks to be the best 👌😎😎👍👍😃
Same, I love them all, and they all offer something awesome. But the Redcat just edges it objectively speaking.
I've been racing the Zee 130C 2S batteries in my 1/10 short course truck and they have been very powerful and reliable.
