Best of luck with it brother! I ran a Honda generator for my car detailing business for like 15 years that thing was bullet proof it's only down side was that bitch was way expensive even 20 years ago! I would give this one a chance for the occasional power outage or for power tools out in the field!! Just make sure u got a good chain and lock if u are taking it off the farm. The crack heads would love to steal it!! Scrap on!

I am up here north of Syracuse NY and just about every gas station has a ethanol free gas pump . love it , chain saws , lawn mowers . outboards , weed wacker , wood spliter . only thing I put in them . I got older shit most from the mid 80s .
Our ethanol free gas in nj is 6 bucks a gallon for 91 octane , due to the out of state deliveries coming in have to quarantine for two weeks, some stations don't even bother purchasing it.
That Generator looks like a REAL Good One and it is sooooo Compact and it Runs very well - Best of Luck with it - Now You will have Electricity when ever the Grit fails - well done - we always love Your Videos !!!! Keep Safe and Greetings from Australia !!!!
Got one we Carry with us all time for using on night working lights good handy generator you keep safe melting hot here today do a bit in the twighlite again its still hot then
Yeah I've done a lot of research over the years on them this one seems the best bang-for-the-buck that's for sure hopefully it lasts at least half as long as a Honda
For sure it's just super expensive.... but definitely worth it if you're going to have the machine just sitting for awhile... and it's also super convenient for 2-stroke stuff
I'm just doing a break in run. Ran it for 30 minutes, dumped the oil and now I'm running it again. It started surging and I was like wtf then I remembered I shut the valve on the fuel cap when I was dumping the oil lol I'm sure my neighbors are happy listening. One just knocked on my door as I typed that sentence. Her name is actually Karen lol
I just got an HF 2200 inverter gen. I run that Truefuel in it for now-that stuff can sit a year and be just as fresh-no issues starting and running. I'd change out the spark plug for an NGK, if it already doesn't have one.
Amen brother, I do small engine repair and TRU-FUEL is my choice in all my equipment. I have convinced several customers and now they see how good Tru-fuel is. HF2200 generator rated pretty high on reliability too and the price is amazing.
Just bought it and test run ..it start and running for 6 hours. ..then the overload light start to show causing the power to fluctuate and it would rev up high and back to normal operation. It keeps repeating every 10 or 15 minutes.
How much? The last storm that was supposed to hit us but didn't I bought two cummins inverter generators, one 2500 and a 4500, love them both. The big one runs for 20 hours at 1/4 load on one tankful 3.4 gallons. I paid 698 for the 2500 and 1,049 for the 4500. Got the parallel kit to link them together. The bigger one has pull start, push button electric start and a remote start keyfob. Both have the usb and 12v ports and nice fuel and power displays along with a rotating display that shows voltage, power used in kilowatts, fuel left, time left to run, and hour meter.
with my gen had a lot bigger one 30 amps was 900 but got for less sent was open box deal used the oil it came with as brake in oil then wich to the good stuff roller puple syntheick
Well it seems to work fine when I use it.... But it doesn't have a lot of hours on it because you know how it is as soon as you buy a generator the power never goes out.... I've used it out on site a couple times and a few times at the flea market to test items and run fans... It seems pretty good
@@ScrapFarm have you been using fuel stabilizer or canned fuel? Wondering what your winterizing procedure has been. I've heard many say that the stock spark plug is garbage and they have switched to a iridium plug.
It's been fine so far I haven't really used it a lot because the power hasn't gone out but you know how that goes when you have a generator the power stays on when you don't have a generator the power goes out every week
When I was looking at them a few months ago, the dealer couldn't sell one to me-they had a leaking fuel problem, and were waiting for a fix from Honda. I bought a Ryobi 3800 inverter, and a Harbor Freight 2200. The HF has a very good reputation on forums that discuss generators.
Both very nice units, both engines are made by Honda...that's why the performance is almost identical. The weight difference is less than a pound but generac max runtime is 10.8 hrs and Honda's is 8.1 hrs max. Generator Bible.com & greentractor talk forums love both of them and the Harbor Freight one. There goes Bert, spending my money again...now I gotta get one for my shop (just in case)
I guess my question is why would anyone buy a Generac for $250 more than the others out there? Generac doesn't make these. They are all made by one of a few common Chinese manufactures that also make the WEN, HF Predator, AI Power (this one can be found under $400), etc. Yes Honda's are expensive but you are getting a genuine Honda and and not a clone engine. To some, that supersedes the price. With Generac, you paying around an additional $250 for the Generac name but has the same parts\build as the others in the $400 - $450 range.
@@ScrapFarm That would be a game changer if true. It might actually sway me to buy the Generac for the extra money. I would need to confirm though as the build looks almost exactly the same as the others.

We will be over for the BlackBerry tarts. Look a good gen. Be safe.

Nice Buy Bert.. A lot of fire company's are using Generac Brands, they I heard are really reliable. Good luck with your's.
87 octane with sea foam and you will be fine. Winterized my equipment with sea foam and started on first pull this spring
I was just looking at generators for the summer house ... and you made me re-think the Honda choice 😃
Honda just runs forever

love that trufuel hard to find ethanol free in my area i like that it doesn't plug up the fuel system like regular pump gas

Bert I just got the Ryobi gen 2300 great little generator run premium fuel otherwise the spark arrester carbons up and kills the engine
Runs 12+hours on a tank of fuel blows a Honda out of the water quieter toothat was a 35'/. Load
Great unboxing and review👏
👍👍 Thank you Bert...again! 🌞
You should use a skill saw to see if it can handle it or it might trip the fuse on the generator

Gezzz
Good video and info. Thanks Bert.
Generac also makes a natural gas one that automatically turns on when you lose power
Bert if you are not going to use your generator empty the gas tank run the carb. dry, store it that way fill it up when you need it.
Bert and his new Orange Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the Honda comes with is a MANUAL and the generator itself. No oil, Funnels, Spark plug tools, Anything
I know crazy
@@ScrapFarm But the GENERAC comes with:
▪︎Oil
▪︎Spark plug (Maybe)
▪︎Battery cables
▪︎Spark plug wrench
▪︎A funnel
And
▪︎A manual
It has a Honda engine anyway, good deal 👍
Great video. Keep them coming ✌️out

HI Bert great Generac 2200i video very nice and compact and purrs like a feline . good luck and stay safe .

Nice thing about lot the Honda gen rater u can Daisy chain them to work as a bigger one
Thats an option with the generac too...and as far as my research could go this is a honda genset branded generac

I always thought generac made good stuff imo
Bert, mighty joes has $6 agallon 91 octane.😄
Yeah usually they do but apparently not anymore the pumps down or they're out
👍👍😀🍁
Good
Looks like a nice unit... quiet. ECO mode can run the same loads? I know it saves fuel... but what restrictions does that put on it?
I don't think it really puts any restrictions on it if it demands more load it will rev up
Ohh nice.. That's a cool feature.
Will you be able power a small window AC with that generator?
Yes
u shood dig arond at freddy and find a tracker pto genrater and u can use that at the flea for lites and to show ppl stuff works
