I have been looking at these small inverter/generators to help me cleanup after Ian, and it seems that there are SEVERAL brands that are the exact same 2200/2300 Watt Generator, with a different color cover (Westinghouse, Generac, Genkins(?), Jegs). This is the best overview that I have seen.
That inverter circuit is very intellegent with fast switching zener diodes, when there is no load or low load it searches for the most efficient manner to distribute 120V and fuel, like an Orca whale sending out sonar signals for mental reference without looking. That is the sound you hear of a slight up and down throttle until it finds the sweet spot for best fuel economy.
I believe you kinda answered this question at the beginning, but what does inverter indicate/mean? Does that mean I can run this say inside a garage or shed to keep noise down, ....does it even emit carbon monoxide/smoke at all? Thanks
This would be a good question for Google. I don’t know. I will say this, in my experience, pretty much every generator I’ve ever seen has a place to hook up a ground. And I’m pretty sure manufacturers do recommend it. But in reality, I’ve seen hundreds of people operate hundreds of generators and I’ve never seen a single person actually hook up the ground.
Our definition of "full size refrigerator" may differ, so i hesitate to answer with a "yes". But i will say, i have a Frigidaire FFSS2615TE2 in my kitchen and i can run it no problem. And when i say "no problem" i mean it. I can run the Fridge, all my lights, my modems and and routers, my TV, charge my laptop and phone, and run my furnace all at the same time ans still have a little room left over.
I believe you should have the economy button on off when you start it.

You don't want to start the generator in the economy mode, it says so in the manual 👍🏼
