How to make electricity storable? The solution is Power-to-Gas! By storing otherwise unused green energy as methane, we can couple the power grid with the gas grid and effectively create a longer-term "Gas Battery" for clean energy.

Use electricity to make gas to heat a home. Much inefficiency. I can understand the need for energy storage but this is a pretty shit way to do that. If you need the storage and heat just use thermal batteries, 100% efficient use of your electricity that way.

What's the EROEI? Oh you know, ~50% of the input.
Why are you telling people you have a replacement for fossil fuels when you are wasting solar and wind to produce half the energy in a different form? Solar and wind which I might point out are never going to cover the current rates of consumption, and are completely reliant on fossil fuels to produce.

@@jsalsman He should not forget that you can store gas or you could go further and store ethanol or methanol. which can be stored for longer than batteries.
