    Hello all! Thank you for watching my video on realistic ways to grow your hair!
    In this video I will be talking about realistic ways I grew my natural hair, and other tips for hair growth as well. As we all know, I big chopped in 2016 and started my natural hair journey. In May of 2019 I big chopped again and my hair grew faster than before since my hair was damaged. I hope this video helps all of you whether you're big chopping, transitioning, or already natural.

    I found that leaving my hair alone is my biggest hair growth secret. Buns (not super tight) and braids (protective styles) does it. Drink water. Take vitamins and just leave it ALONE.

      It's weird cuz once my mom cut my hair i felt so ugly that i would always hide it under scarfs and braids. Then it grew. But I've been taking care of it for fucking years and the crap never grew....so i learned to just ignore it and keep it under scarfs and it's been growing ever since ha.

    • @tlamelangmasemola
      @tlamelangmasemola 4 года назад +18

      That's true but i also think it's not as big a role as everyone makes it out to be, i first big chopped 4 years ago and my hair was growing really slowly(as it always has my whole life) i then big chopped again last year and my hair has grown longer than my previous 3 year hair journey, in just one year it's passed shoulder length! I honestly think the most important things are knowing your hair porosity, keeping a protein-moisture balance and very little manipulation

      I have a question. If my mother has 20+ inches of hair and my younger sister has 4c hair that reaches to the middle of her spine, can mine grow that long too? I just big chopped lmao

    I've been telling people this for yearrrsss (lol not really). LISTEN TO YOUR HAIR. If its telling you its dry, stop adding more oils and products and quench it with water, like you do when *you're* thirsty. I've learnt that you can give someone all the advice/tips they need but once they realise that their hair won't grow over night/week(s) they tend to go back to their old habits and give up. Failing to accept that it takes time.
    The memes here and there are hilarious btw.

    Hiiii soo I’m an aspiring model and one of my biggest fears is stylists in the industry not knowing what to do with my 3c/4a hair. Could you maybe make a video with some tips on keeping healthy hair as a model when you may have to have a stylist do it for the runway or a shoot or something ? And also do modeling agencies have full creative control over your hair ? Like if they wanna cut it, they can because of the modeling contract ?

    GREAT tips Hannah.! I agree. I personally stopped using oil because it breaks me out and my hair is still super moisturized . maybe even more. so it depends on the person. I use a leave in conditioner in the shower and let the steam seal in the moisture. Also I wash and deep condition once a week. may seem like a lot but my hair gets weighed down and build up fast and clean hair makes my hair more moisturized because it allows the leave in conditioner to penetrate . Lastly it allows me to keep up with my detangling . I used to be super bad with that and my hair could've been way more by now. Ive actually found my hair isn't hard to detangle because I never let it get tangled . when I shower I finger detangle every couple of days. Lastly like HANNAH SAID DONT LET ANYONE TOUCH YOUR HAIR. YOURE THE ONLY PERSON WHO CARES ABOUT IT LIKE THAT. THE RARE TIMES I STRAIGTEN I EVEN DO THAT MYSELF. ONLY PERSON TOUCHING MY HAIR IS MYSELF OR MOTHER .
