ABOUT DARNELL ISHMEL
Darnell Ishmel was hailed by the New York Times for his "show-stealing" stage presence, "rich baritone, precise diction and superb comic timing".
He made his professional debut with Cincinnati Opera and has sung to audiences the world over, from New York to San Francisco, from Mexico to Russia, and from Prague to Rio de Janeiro.
In 2011, his 2008 recording with the Prague Sinfonietta under the direction of American conductor Marlon Daniel was submitted and accepted in three categories for consideration for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.
