The lessons show clearly that the presenter is a professional chemist not just recounting something they read. Julie could put many know-it- alls in their place with her series of presentations.
Hey! Today, I went through a bunch of your videos and I'll continue doing so until my exams. I don't usually comment on videos but I had to say thank you so much! Your videos are a real blessing and your method of teaching is very wholesome and effective. Ever since I discovered your channel, I have watched your videos before starting a new chapter and it's crazy how fast I can go through my chapter afterwards and everything seems so much simpler all thanks to you. I find your channel to be underrated. I will surely recommend your channel to others too. I hope I was able to express my gratitude and respect for you. Once again, thank you!!
Hi Mirrorball, I sincerely appreciate the time you took to share your experience and gratitude. It makes me so happy to hear the channel has been helpful. I am very proud of your extra effort to succeed. Well done! God bless you in your endeavors:)
im finishing this semester chemistry ctomorrow and i just want to thank you so much for making this channel, ur playlists have helped me TREMENDOUSLY throughout the entire semester. im wishing u all the best and ill hopefully be back :-)
What I like about your method is that it is “old school.” My parents taught this way and so did I. Recently, new teachers want to put their fingerprints on everything by disparaging the “chalk and walk” in favor of the “flipped classroom” and their POGIL nonsense. Kids want to see teachers teach and teachers want to see the faces of kids while they teach. I don’t think I’ve ever given the same lecture twice because I could adapt when I saw the response to what I was saying. I’m also annoyed at the current policy of using the same test year after year. The teachers never give the exam back so they can just re-use it. It’s baffling since I don’t think it has ever taken me more than an hour to make an exam. Thank you. It’s nice to see someone who knows what they’re doing. I’m not against trying new things but I feel mostly it’s merely misdirection to hide the fact that they can’t teach and are lazy.
Hi Chiara, You can tell I am traditional. I find for my personality it adds the most value to lecture in person and write on the board. My students also like it. I appreciate your comment and understand your frustration. The focus should always be what adds the most value to student learning - not doing something new just because it is new. I hope your year wraps up well:) Thanks!
I'm very grateful to have known about your RUclips channel since you started making videos! They have helped me through AP Chem and chem in college for my nursing prerequisites. :) Keep up the great work and take care! :)
Hi Tabatha! Thank you for your kind comment. I loved having you in class and am so proud of all you have done! You are amazing and have a work ethic beyond compare! Sending love to you:) God bless you in your endeavors!
You are a fantastic teacher and your voice and expressions convey a genuine passion for chemistry. Your lessons are concise and clear, and have left me confident in my answers. Thank you so much for these videos. May God continue to bless you abundantly, as you have blessed others.
Hi Nathaniel, I so appreciate your comment - thank you! It is a joy to teach chemistry to students I love. It is a gift from God. May the Lord abundantly bless you as well. Thank you again!
Old school chemistry definitely helped me pass gen chem last semester! Your ice table videos and solving for X was a big “ah ha” moment for me, it finally clicked. Onto organic chem next semester, and I’m happy to see you have videos on that too. Thank you so so much!
Well congratulations!! I've just finished the gen chem series and will be on my way to orgo this fall. I will for sure watch your videos. Thank you so much for your support and wonderful explanations!
i always recommend your channel when people need chemistry help! thanks to you i passed clep chemistry. my biggest aha moment was during your acid and base lecture playlist, specifically in your video on finding pH of equivalence points (thank you 🤞). i hope you’ll do videos on d-block elements or college organic chemistry one day! as always thank you so much
Hi Niyah, I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. FYI, equivalence point is one of the hardest topics for any student. I am so pleased one of my videos helped you navigator the difficulty of the content. I am very proud of you for passing the Clep test. It is a rigorous exam. I will look at those video suggestions:) Thank you for your very kind comment! Many blessings to you!
The “Old Teacher” is one of the best parts of American culture. These are the people who formed character, brought order out of chaos, and deeply loved the unlovable. Often times, they did all of this without so much as a proper thank-you. 😍🥰
Your "ICE Table: Quadratic Equation " helped me very much, and that is the video that made me click the subscribe button, lots of useful information on your channel :)
Hi wili91, nice! The ICE table, especially with the drudgery of the quadratic equation, is tough. It can be abstract. I’m so glad the video was helpful. Thank you for your support!😁
After taking CE Chem this last year I'm seriously considering going into a field of chemistry, and am so excited to learn more about the wonderful things it holds. That is because of you!! love you so much!
Grace! Hello:) That makes me so happy. You are a wonderful student and have such amazing ability. You should definitely take AP chemistry. It gives you options and more open doors as you explore careers. I LOVED having you in class and hope to have you again. Many blessings and much love to you!!
