      Hi King, I did not get a large response from my JEE posts so I stopped reviewing that exam. I will post a new set of videos again in the fall with gen chem practice problems.

      Same here, what a coincidence! I'm a Cuban chemistry teacher living in Florida, and I like to improve my English accent by listening to other American teachers. Professor Julie Laub is really good!

    Hi, just letting you know I have pre med exams and you’re saving me with these videos. Could you please make a video about different equations in chemistry and simplify them, say, clues in the question that help us pick the formula? There are so much I’m not sure which to use.
    You have a really graceful presence and calming attitude. I wish to have your wisdom🌷
    Thank you!

    Hello ma'am
    Could you please help me with this
    We state that the orders with respect to reactants are equal to their stoichiometric coefficients in an elementary reaction
    I am confused about a few things here
    1) We can balance a reaction using different sets of coefficients
    Like 2A+ 3B --> 4C
    4A + 6B --> 8C
    6A + 9B ---> 12C
    So what set of coefficients should I use as powers in rate law if the above reaction is elementary
    2) Is the reverse of the statement ( that i mentioned first) true
    That is if the orders turn out to be stoichiometric coefficients is it so that the reaction must be an elementary one or is it just a coincidence and it may be a complex multi step one too
    3) How do determine whether a reaction is elementary or complex
    I am confused
    Could you please clarify this for me.

      HI Kranthi, this would take more time than is reasonable to type in RUclips. I recommend you visit your professor and ask these questions. They could explain it in person much better than me via a message. I hope your class goes well!

    Hi, Could you make a video on VSEPR and its angle and if there is an easy way on memorising the names and angles. Thank You!

    • @OldSchoolChemistry
      @OldSchoolChemistry  Год назад

      Hi Abdulla, Below is a link to my bonding playlist. Toward the end of the playlist are videos on VSEPR. The best way to memorize the shapes and angles is to picture what they look like. Most of the names logically match the shape. I try to show and describe the shape in the videos. You can also look online for pictures or in a textbook. I hope that helps, and I hope it goes well:)
