In this video we compare the big Marshall Tufton to the mid-sized Marshall Kilburn 2. This comparison should show the different sound-signatures of these two speakers! It should NOT show the difference in loudness or power! Ther Tufton has much deeper and more powerful bass but the mids of the Kilburn are much better...
The Marshall Tufton plays at 40% volume and the Kilburn 2 at 60% (to match their volume-levels and make them more comparable ;)

Kilburn is what an audiophile gets and loud folks go for tufton all day cuz it's bigger n louder.
Only found first song, Lonely Wolf by Adi Levi, to be helpful. Preferred sound of Kilburn 2 in your RUclips video, even though I listened to your video through a Tufton speaker.
Here's where it gets interesting. A few weeks ago I bought a Marshall Tufton speaker. Compared sound of ur video to actual Adi Levi video (also on RUclips), and actual Adi Levi vid through my Tufton speaker sounded much better than either section of your RUclips video. The vocals are always clearer and instrumentals sound more alive/vibrant with actual Adi Levi vid through my Tufton speaker, than any section of Levi song in your video that I played through same speaker.
Obv the actual Adi Levi video is the source, while your audio is a recording of that, a copy of that source. Still the discrepancy is far more than I'd have imagined.
Also, Tufton speaker grille has twice the surface area of the Kilburn 2.
For 2nd song, why feature a song with a lot of contrived screaming? Impossible to know the way contrived screams SHOULD SOUND.

There is a mid driver in the rear of the Tufton that is likely under represented in a direct line-of-sight recording setup such as this. Well, at least that is what my ears are telling me because I have personal experience using the Tufton...

Adi Levi is artist. Lonely Wolf is title of song. I spent 15 minutes trying to find a band called Rapture Vinyl, there is no such band. Mebbe I kept someone from wasting 15 minutes.

If you want better Bass, then it's the Tufton.
I appreciate the work that went into this video but it's flawed. 1. mic placement 3 feet(?) from speaker. Not gonna happen with my ears are anyone at my party. 2. No off-axis mic placement. 3. No outside test. This post is in part due to my frustration finding a speaker that I think would work best for me. Thanks again for testing with some non EDM type music.
PS I was waiting for you to set the Kilburn 2 on the Tufton and play both at the same time.
Tufton sound fills a room better
Just bought this speaker on their website. I hope it’s good for watching Netflix and RUclips. I need a semi portable Bluetooth speaker for my iPad and all the other speakers I have found on RUclips are still Bluetooth 4.2 and this seems to be the only one that is 5.0 Bluetooth
How was your experience with movies and Netflix? This speaker is basically a mono speaker. You won't get stereo separation left and right channel.
@@halfcrazyluv1 Correct but it still sounds great and I cant really tell the difference when I’m watching movies. The big bass and sound more than makes up for the lack of stereo

Were both these Marshall speakers "burned in"? Hard to believe the tufton is that boomy, if it is, you've saved me 400 dollars. Thanks for that. Just got 2 anker soundcore motion plus speakers, way better than JBL flips or charges, and, considering the much lower price, reasonably close to minirig 3, with a proper updated Anker app that works, unlike the execrable minirig app.
The Tufton is really boomy! It has a huge bass-boost in the upper-bass area. Oluv from the RUclips-Channel Oluv's Gadgets did some measurements where you can see the huge bass-boost and the bad mids... You have to listen at higher volumes (60 % and higher) to get a usable experience with the Tufton...
Thanks for that extra info. Trying to find a quality loud bt loudspeaker that is at least semi portable. The aiwa exos is too big. The vifas are too expensive and/or too lacking in hi tech. Most of the tufton reviews on Amazon and best buy don't have your perfectly credible critique. I've seen Oluvs videos on the tufton. The boomy sound is very apparent in my grado 225e headphones. The Marshall kilburn 2 is not loud enough. Is the JBL extreme 2 any good?
Some claimed Tufton lack mids...but if you compare to the Original recording I think it's like the same ?? Honestly I prefer Tufton sound more....I usually crank the shit down of Mids.
Who want to listen to so much mid ?? It's sounds so obnoxious IMO.....I'm actually aiming for Kiburn but after listening to this...damn Kiburn sounded kinda bad....this is what I hate the most when comes to music / sounding. Tufton sound is what I always like the most....especially when it comes to Metal music.
I usually crank the mids up 70% or to max 100% and I turn the bass and the treble down… love the warm thick mids

The tufton lacks mids
yes, it really needs more mids! At low volumes for example, it is simply unusable cause it sounds sooo dull... Only at higher volumes it becomes better sounding. It really is not a speaker for low level listening...
