@@sebmarc I mean if you're in the US though , going to need some 240v action, so heat up the garage maybe ? Just depends on your local electric situation I guess
Filling in the rest of a 30a circuit is a really good way to look at it, i didn't even think about that. This thing needs some rack rails too, slap a bunch of these in a server rack, wire it up n let it ride. I dunno, for me Kaspa asics in general just ain't it... the emission schedule makes it real hard to keep up. When KAS was GPU mineable it made more sense to mine like crazy
Just starting to Asic mine it , really rough , if you're just going with the flow and have already ROI'd other Asics and growing , can make sense which is where my strategy is. Also some hardware selling /arbitrage potential if we do pump end of year or q1 25 with the less efficient stuff , we'll see how price action goes these next 6-8 months
@@miningstacker 100% where my head is right now too. When it pumps, I'm gonna dump my old gear on lil Timmy's that wanna scoop it up. I was a Timmy once and overpaid for gear MANY times, especially in ETH mining days lol. I just can't justify a $2500 machine that makes $4 per day at my power rate, that will make $2 per day in 3 months... I would rather buy the Kaspa in this instance, but to each their own 🤷♂
In this case, 💯 , they should have capped it at 1100ish watts, less chips/lower price and been at 1kish and would have been appealing to all including indoor miners, such a weird move to go with this size as they can't compete with the big units with this wattage
120v is mainly a problem for US or other ntsc zones. In Europe for insance 1800w is no problem since most countries here have 230-250v natively so it can easily be run on the most common 10amp fuse.
@miningstaker from your analysis, I agree with KS5L is a much better buy since the price have drop from IceRiver. Looking to buy that and start mining Kaspa (I am a beginner) thank you for video and analysis
Such a weird release brotha , they desperately need consulting help , so out of touch it's mind blowing. Less chips , lower price 800-1200w could have been a winner for at home miners where a mid tier unit is needed. Such a wasted opportunity
Exactly , makes zero sense. Not appealing to the home miner and too small wattage and not efficient/priced well enough to appeal to the bigger Asic miner. Such a weird choice.
Nah this is Garbage price to performance. 4 dollars a day this week profit after power at .11 usd. 2 weeks from now my guess is 2 dollars with how many will hit after august as the big boys are still being released through this month. Price realistically needs to be around 1750usd anything higher is not worth it with dropping rewards weekly.
Equivalente at an half KS5 Pro for double watts😂 + time is money...... this is a B....s...t, how can they serve this, except for giving a presuming access to power for small budget.
@@sebmarc going to have to wait for the krc-20 coins, the only one I've seen get mentioned out of the mining/kaspa circle is nacho , so currently that's the only one I would potentially value on the meme side. Promo/hype is critical for meme coins
Not impressed with Goldshell at all...Their not gonna sell much of these. At 110V20A that plug is gonna get hot. Either way this is not that efficient in comparison to other new asics . They should of done this with an AL miner. They always seem to find a way to let us down. Unfortunately even at a grand I wouldn't buy it...
Agreed, even the alph one may not be too appealing if Iceriver announces one , but if they don't , that one may be worth a look , we're going to have to wait and see
Very true , one of the hard things with the ultras is the shipping of the 9 units , they really need to consider doing like 5 packs in one box , it's nearing the point where the shipping is as much as the unit, 😂
Iceriver KSO are $160 now, just plug in 14 of those, only 1400 total watts 💀
The shipping is the killer right now, they really need to consider doing like a 5 pack or something to cut that down
To me it's worth $1,500 but knowing Goldshell it will be $10,000
1500 is good, a decent MSRP would be 1999, looking like 25-2800 is MSRP unfortunately which after the recent Iceriver price drop, just too expensive
@@miningstacker it will be a bit pricy just to heat the office 😂

@@miningstacker NOT in the US but in France, so hot during summer and very cold in the winter, so may be for both with a heat exchanger🤣

Makes no sence unless the price is lower than $1500, 9 overclocked ultras have the same hasrate and use less power.
