- Roto-Rooter's popular pet rescue program has rescued hundreds of wayward pets from tight spaces in recent years, but we recently found a news report of one of our earliest documented pet rescues from September 4, 1997, in Sacramento, California.
Sewer inspection camera snakes weren't very common in the 1990s due to their great expense, but Roto-Rooter plumbers used one to locate this 6-week-old kitten, and with the help of local firefighters, we rescued her. She was then given the name "Lucky."

I know roto rooter is a nation-wide company. With that said, after becoming a plumber with roto rooter, is it possible to move from state to state and continue to work for the company?
Yes, that's entirely possible, especially if you work for a corporate branch and want to transfer to another corporate branch. Many employees have done that. Simply speak to your general manager about it and the corporate HR Department. As you know, many of our locations are independent franchises and contractors, which are not under corporate control. Moving to an independent franchise isn't quite as simple, but they always need solid employees too would likely hire you if you want to make a move.
Roto-Rooter will not do this anymore! I called my local company with my cat being stuck under my house and they had no clue this company even did this.
Yes, we do. We rescued several kittens just yesterday in Houston. It's possible your local Roto-Rooter is an independently owned and operated franchise that is unaware of the program.
@@RotoRooterTV They said they had no clue that this was even something that you offered, but it was on our local website. Why advertise it if it's not something every location does? My cat has been missing for a month, and i have finally found her. Just cannot find help to get her.
