    One thing to note is that it is possible to put the kit on the engine outside the car and then install the engine. I have a top mount doc race kit and it worked perfectly fine for me when I was rebuilding the engine. The only downside is that the front of the car must be taken apart to do so which Is not that hard.

    hey bro, i own a 2008 328i and it has a straight 6 N52 engine. I don’t know much about engines but would u recommend me taking it to my buddies and put a turbo kit on it? I need help brotha.

    • @PrecisionSportIndustries
      @PrecisionSportIndustries  2 года назад +1

      Hey! I think you might be slightly mistaken with what engine you currently have. In the 2008 328i it comes with the N52 engine. Typically this isn't a car that we would turbo. There are some options for power adding through bolt ons like 3 stage intake, headers and tune and if you want to go all out you can get a supercharger for it. It all comes down to how well maintained the car has been through its life.

    • @connordonaldson1028
      @connordonaldson1028 2 года назад +2

      you have 2 options you can get an upgrade kit from propultion dynamics that can hold over 850+ wheel torque or u can get a plate from another company that allows u to swap a 6hp28 into your car which can hold 1000+ wheel torque

    It would only be leaking due to the heavy as fuck turbo on that single piece do keep the 3 piece design just put supporting brace to take the weight of the turbo when that metal starts glowing it will sag over time there for creating a leak

    • @PrecisionSportIndustries
      @PrecisionSportIndustries  3 года назад +4

      Both kits are great. One of the biggest differences is the potential for growth and upgrades on the top mount. Having the extra room up top allows you to go bigger turbo if you want down the line. The bottom mount has less space and therefore limits your turbo options. Check out Vehicle Viral's bottom mount videos to see his that we installed! He just dropped his dyno numbers.

      Cheap and good is two hard things to put together. The best bang for your buck for the N54 platform right now might just be the DOC race bottom mount kit. Although it is still roughly $4k you get everything you need and the backing of the brand.
