Always fun to watch, your enthusiasm is always dialed up to 11. That MK23 is something, a little big for my preferences. I have an HK Expert chambered in .45ACP. It is super accurate, much like the Springfield you featured.
I love my first and most recent purchase, an HK pistol. Never thought I would be a fan, but I am learning that HK is an accurate firearm. I collect Smith and Wesson revolvers like you, and just started buying plastic wonders, after buying premium 1911s. I now own a few Glocks, but my HK USP Expert is my most accurate 9mm, and I own Korth revolvers and Nighthawk 1911s. I hate to say it, but I am not surprised by your review. By the way, I just received my new Christmas Vudoo 22, so I am loving your 22lr rifle videos as well!! Thank you for your great videos, service to our country and service to our Lord and Savior! God bless you and your family!
I have a box of 200 grain .45 super Underwood Xtreme Penetrator solid copper ammo that I have not yet tried in my 6-inch H&K USP Elite 45 pistol. Thanks for your video.
Fantastic video! It's amazing the difference between the ported and none ported. But from top to bottom they'll all get the job done. Those velocities are pushing the 44 magnum range. I would love to see a comparison between the 45super and 44 magnum. My son has a custom 1911 that was built by a military arm's maker he knew in Iraq. I'll have to ask him if it can handle 45super. You could check with CMMG and their 45, they say it can take a full diet of 450smc. I'm having surgery on Monday and I'll be laid up for awhile. I'm hoping in the first half of 2022 on settling some malpractice lawsuit's. I would love to help you and some other channel's with product's and ammunition. Just so you know, here in the Communist state of New Jerky this morning it was 15° and felt like 4°.
That huge bullet going supersonic is going to be a force, should be superb for defence, with that xtp at that speed and weight, expect a exit hole and a big one.
lol, i doubt they will offer it in a steel frame, its a model from the 90s, i highly doubt that any changes will be made on this model . The trigger can be tuned and the sights of the P7 can fit. Here in germany Merkle offers a nice Mark 23 trigger tuning.
Went to prove my point. The shorter 5.8" barrel without porting beat a 6" barrel with the porting by 50 fps with the Underwood and shot 60 with the reloads. I bet those reloads would get 1420 with my 6.61" glock barrel. The 6.5" barrel is ideal for 10mm and 45 super. You don't get much better in 10mm (not as much in factory anyway) with the 9 inch line wolf over the 6" kkm I think if you want to do more 10mm vs. 45 super user the HK.
45 super is a bigger bullet version of a FULL powered 10mm. It cost more though to be on the "safer side" than shooting 10mm. Ie: changing out the barrel, spring and mag spring. You don't have to, but if you want flawless or near flawless function, you should. I did to my Glock 21 Gen 4. The 20 grain and 135 extreme defenders perform the best. The 185 nosler bullets by underwood only penetrate about 8 inches into gel, the 230 grain about 10. The underwood 45 super that use hornady xtp bullets perform better. Either way, they'll destroy someone and it'll be a terrible day for them
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT VIDEO! Love your channel. Check out a channel called Stuck Case. He gets 460 Roland velocities out of a 5 inch barrel with his 45 Super reloads! I my opinion he's the best in the business at pushing and reloading the 45 Super and 45acp. Ya all can keep your 10mm. Your reload with the 6 inch is approximately a average low end 240g 44 magnum load in foot lbs. I love it! Stay safe.
Those rounds are made to be subsonic and no flash from a 5" barrel. You ain't gonna get much more velocity from a longer barrel. All .45super rounds are made to be subsonic except for the 185gr and 135gr, but they are all formulated to be shot from less than 6" barrels. So that V16 takes good advantage of the spare gasses to reduce recoil. I have a G30 with a 4.5" KKM and a comp that extends it to 5" and runs 45super beautiful and low recoil. I use a 15lbs recoil spring. To run .higher velocities in longer barrels +P is what you want to use and will surpass .45super velocities in as little as 8" barrels. Running .45super in longer than 6" barrels will actually slow the projectile, and if you have a comp past 6" it will have no effect.
Your reloads were dead on consistent and accurate. Good work Marine
Thanks you Jason

Might want to consider the use of .450 SMC.
Great info, and nice shooting ! I wasn't expecting the porting to make tht much difference in velocity . That house load is wicked !!!

That's a damn good group with the Mark 23!

Larry I sure do appreciate you and your wife's support, love having you all at the range with me 😁
Thank you, i love my mk23
Thank you for sharing your data on the 45 super. I'm very interested in this cartridge, so I appreciate these videos quite a lot.
This is awesome glad to know it at least helped 1 person.
@@Dayattherangecan you shoot 45 Sup in all HK 45 models? I think you can in the USPs I believe. 🤔 Been looking at a 45 suppressor host.
I’ve been loading a kimber target 2(10mm)
By far xtp 200 gr is a tack driver@ 1250
Great video!

That Springfield is a beautiful gun. Great Video Sir!!!
Soft recoiling with that 45 Super
Always police up that brass , thanks for the video!!
Thank you, yeah man 45Super brass you get down on your hands and knee's looking for that stuff :)
I have a Mark 23 and love it.
Good video on the 45 Super; I enjoyed it, Sir. 👍🏼

Nice shooting again but I fell in with that ported pistol the grouping was brilliant a true competition hand gun.
Nice video and good shooting, my friend!
That Mark23 is nice 👍

Nice that H&K is hell of gun.
Good shooting as well as stout velocities from a .45. Glad you didn't shoot the chrono like my cousin did!
Dale don't put the jinx on me like that. I have had this one for a long time and have managed to not shoot it YET lol
Great video!
Thanks Luke
The type of rifling on the HK barrel creates higher pressure by tighter gas seal .
Could 45 super reach 2000 fps with lighter weight loads in the mark 23?

45sup is no joke especially in nearly a 6” barrel! For old Grizz It’s still not equal to full power 44mag but I might take it over 10mm!?! 🤔👍🏻
Nice Good Video
DATR, be it a 5" or 6" ported or not, those were some nice groups....................
CH I think I can do better it was so cold I had some coffee probably a bit to MUCH that front sight was moving on me 🤣
The Mk23 is the baddest on the planet. Come on now, 1300fps+ and STILL shoots nice and soft. Can NOT be f***ed with, period!
Now if S&W can get a M25 chambered for this.
Agreed I would be all for it
Pretty good shooting for a marine. Go Air Force.
Thanks AA --- hmm Chair Force 😁
@@Dayattherange its chair force until they call for CAS.😉✊

its not almost as big, it IS as big as a desert eagle.
It is one big piece of polymer and steel thats for sure lol
