On my 541 is another screw in the middle. This is my old spare and I couldn't find where that screw was because it was totally covered in dirt. Moving the kb to locate it, the cable clip broke. Just ordered an external kb since my main notebook is being shipped for repairs. I taped it on, but probably won't hold long.
you helped a lot, thank you!
amazing, I'll try this, many thanks

Great !!!Thank you!!!
You make it look so easy. Getting the old keyboard out and the new one in without breaking something is a bitch on this computer.
I don't see any screws under the buttons! What can I do?
I have W541 and the keyboard looks slightly different (probably it is an European version).
Sir from where did you buy that keyboard replacement?? I’m unable to find printer one in the market.
On the w540 theres an additional screw on the j, it made me crazy, because it took me a while o notice it. Thanks for the tutorial
Thank you very much!

Excuse me, is it possible to put a backlit keyboard from a W541 on a W540?
I noticed on your W541. There is an indentation on the right lower side near the word Thinkpad. What is that.
fingerprint reader most likely.
is w540 keyboard compatible with w541 laptop?
Dziękuję
