One last thought...i really enjoy the videos where you get side tracked and other jobs pop up and you take us along. Showing real life makes me feel like I could achieve some of what you have done in your gardens/home. And whoops I forgot to pick up Aaron was adorable. I want to thank you Laura💕🍊!! I have a chronic pain disease that stopped my life as I knew it 7 years ago. I ran into your channel awhile ago and was hooked 🍏🌷🍃 as I loved spending every spare minute working in my beautiful gardens 🌻🌸🐝before and after work. Finding the time was pretty easy as my kids are grown and my husband wasn’t home much. It wasn’t long before I started getting sad though as the gardens are not mine anymore. Then I remembered a friend saying to me to ‘bloom 🌺🌾where your planted’. I now have a little house with a little yard. I am slowly getting outside to work on making these gardens beautiful. Watching you every day has been helping to motivate and inspire me, thank you 🌸🍇🌿!!

Same - except it's been 16 years for me now. She has been giving me motivation & inspiration for close to 2 yrs now. Though, yes I too have to do it on a much smaller basis (sure wish I had all of her energy too!!!😅).
At age 76, my gardens have become a little too much and are quite messy this year. Just keeping the weeds pulled and the edges trimmed is about all I can handle. But I do get a great feeling of satisfaction when it looks a bit more tidy, love how Laura uses the word"tidy"!!! Hope you are finding satisfaction and what you can do and let the rest go. Be happy 🏅
Catherine Miller, thank you, I agree with you. I was bringing the several houseplants I had acquired over the years with me. I had carefully placed them in the empty trunk of my car in the last load, but sadly they perished before getting to my new place. My friends son I hired said he didn’t know they were real and piled all the bags of heavy refrigerated and frozen food on top of them. A few years later I bought a house again and decided to start collecting houseplants again. I love having them inside with me, it’s a wonderful hobby 😊
OMG! I almost fell out of my chair laughing when you said you were giving your chickens “a treat” and pulled an entire broccoli plant out of the ground and gave the whole thing them! You’re the Best!
I think I would have taken the actual broccoli to the kitchen and given the rest to the chickens. 🤣
Benjamin is the best. He’s independent, he’s a helper, he loves strawberries. A little dude after my own heart

Ohhhh how i wish i was Benjamin. I feel like i can smell that sweet beautiful smell of ripe strawberries just watching him shovel them in. Little red berries of gold.
I think it’s awesome that he’s gonna learn young that food doesn’t just come from the grocery store, it’s grown. lol
Can’t speak for everyone but the construction noise really isn’t bad! Don’t sweat it!
The only kind of construction noise I mind is the back up beepers. They are so annoying!
What construction noise lol. Where i am there was a bypass being built. So overpasses and highway etc for i think 3 years. It went to pounding piles into the ground that i could not only hear but feel to trucks hauling dirt to the beeping of trucks/tractors backing up. I swear i could hear the beeping for weeks after it stopped. I have now learned to chase out bad traffic noise to hearing the calls of the gophers (ground squirrels) and learning what each one means. I have even trained them to come towards my balcony when i call as i give them carrots . So noise is noise its ALWAYS gonna be there it is up to us to pick and choose what wins...good or bad noise. .
I don’t hear the construction noise either. Don’t sweat it! 😃

But I couldn’t believe it today when I was at our big ‘box store’ that is hardware and a alittle bit of nursery stuff called Bunnings and I was so stunned and excited to see the PW white plant cans!!🤗

The construction noise isn’t distracting, probably more so in person. The moon garden is looking gorgeous with all of the different textures and I love repeats. 😊🌙
A bench to rest midway in your stroll on the walk, would be nice.Flank the beach with pink and white sweet alyssum, and other fragrant flowering plants for a sensory delight.

In the bare space between the trees, a metal bench would look amazing!!! Maybe an urn on each side of the bench, but I just love the look of a bench in a garden. Once the trees get bigger they’ll cast shade over the bench. Will be absolutely gorgeous!!

I have a suggestion for your moon garden: Snow on the mountain Euphorbia. This is such a beautiful plant. My neighbor has this plant and this year I finally bought seeds and I can't wait to see the mature plant this late summer.

I have to say that I love the moonlight garden. I love the structure of the arborvitaes, the urns are MAGNIFICENT, the placement of the delphiniums, king tuts...the different heights, yet repeated is my absolute favorite. Also the box woods on the opposite side of the brick path, surrounding the maples, with the white diamond mountain ( I think you had petunias in there last year) is completely my jam. It feels organized, balanced and I just love it. Thank you and your cute family for all the inspiration, and willing opening your life to those of us who love to learn! You are blessed with a sweet supportive husband and son, and I so admire your work ethic and happy attitude! 💕

My own grand baby helps me around the garden...yesterday putting potting soil in a pot , shes helped plant seeds, dead headed flowers...she loves helping her Nana..and I love my little helper. It will all be so pretty! I think you should do white hydrangeas on the empty side. I have hydrangeas in my moon garden and they are pretty brilliant at night! The Annabelles get really big and pretty!

I noticed when watching Benjamin with his bunny that I havent seen him lately with the little binky blanket he used to carry around in his mouth a lot. I’m so glad you include your failures as well as your successes because not everything turns out they way you dream but it’s ok. If you don’t try, you will never know. I’ve many more successes in my garden than failures so keeps me going.

I’ve been waiting to see what you do with the moon garden and this didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous! Usually time goes too fast but this is one of those cases where I wish we could speed up time and see how absolutely magical this area is going to be when it’s mature.

How about some black iron structure in your moon garden? Something like a double arbor that is crossed and has 4 corners repeated down the sidewalk. Each crossed arbor will create a window on one side to view your urns and a window on the other side of the sidewalk for some kind of concrete bench opposite the urns in your blank space. As well, you can grow some white climbing roses, white clematis, white honeysuckle, white jasmine and white wisteria all in bloom at different times over the arbors. It will also provide a little shade underneath for gardenias. It will smell heavenly in your moon garden!

In those empty spaces in the moon garden, how about placing benches in those spots so there will be some form of seating area?

I really like that area in between the maple trees just mulched and left neat and tidy as a contrast to the planted, although as someone suggested a bench would be, but just one or two. Sometimes empty areas provide a restful space. Ha ha not that my garden has any!
