Pro Touring Store is definitely the way to go. Owner is very informative and has the best pricing I've seen. Appreciate the knowledge and support of his business!
Just came across your channel and few days ago. Your where laying out the harness for the red camaro. You used the holley set up. I have a 2002 z28 ls 1 6 speed complete. This car was my daily driver. It was rear ended and totaled out. I kept the car intending to put drive train in a 57 chevy car. Obviously I have the stock harness nothing has been removed. Should I re work this harness or go with the holley set up. I like the idea if you get it right it programs it self. I have watched this system installed on other 57 and other vehicles. Not cheap but almost fool proof. Thanks.
I would never trust a junkyard motor if I was building something to last, and I always rebuild but I’ve never heard of a machine shop charging 4k for machine work, even in todays market over a grand for boring, honing, hot tank and cam bearings installed is high
I got a lq4 and a aluminum 5.3 both bored 40 over with cam bearing, polish and balance crank and clean all other parts that I was keeping $800 each. Heads machine with new plugs $250 and install 660 springs($240) . Pistons n rings $200. And the rest of the internals under 1k. Easy 3k. N reciept to prove it
@dagrind8710 Not going to use it on my build but I am asking how long do they last before the plastic starts to crumble. If it's a few years he'll yea. But if its a year or 2 no thank you.

Yes. Makes sense to just buy a crate engine and use Affirm to pay if off.
😂😂😂
Do you do LS swaps for people and what state do you live in
I’ve never payed a machine shop 4k if that’s Cali tax I’ve never payed over 1k for a simple hone bore deck and acid dip
Right... 300-700 depending... Sloppy Mechanics has already debunked all this crap.
Totally makes sense
Just get a Holley Terminator an be done with... 4k machine work... Haaaa 2k builds you forged motor.... forged rotating assembly 1500... man please.
Damn 8k to machine a block? Where?
Where you buying the ls3 from
Pro Touring Store has LS3 long blocks for as cheap as I've ever seen. Shipping available and come with factory warranties! Can't beat their pricing.
