There are demos for second Damageplan album which never came to be but I doubt Phil would want to sing on the songs of a group that was essentially made on songs about the beef between Phil and the brothers. But who knows.

Phil is damn near close to original, he joined on the Power Metal album and was on every major hit record they recorded. So I think Rex and Phil earned there status in Pantera. But I get your opinion. The Abbott brothers were the original starters of Pantera.
Finally 2 different songs on the setlist, as much as i love all of the songs on the setlist, it was getting boring seeing the same ones being played over and over again
To all of the people saying to the complainers that many bands go on without all of the original members… Shut the fuck up. Not one of the members of those other bands lost their life on stage during a concert because of the break up of their band. Not one of those bands went down in flames and ended in such a tragic way. I’m not really for or against the Pantera reunion, but what went down with that band was far from normal circumstances.
When I watch a band, I don't want to miss a second of the show, I raise my arms and I sing loud but my eyes are focused on the stage...and I enjoy the music, the power of the music...I don't go into the mosh pit or that kind of stuff... So if people want to stay static, why not...If I want to see a very big band, it's 500 kilometers from where I'm living...I m not going to have a cigarette outside while the band is playing! I m not at a local bar!
Phil was the missing link, the brothers were going heavier on their side too. Power Metal album was recorded in 1986, before Phil came in. Then he put the vocals when he was hired.
Slaughtered is one of my all time favorite Pantera jams and I'm a huge Zakk wylde fan, but he just didn't do it for me on this one. Charlie on the other hand summoned the ghost of Vinnie to play through him

@@Boston_420 Zakk did well with Ozzy. And he's been riding that wave ever since. I think they should have grabbed several of the youtubers who have successfully covered a Pantera song to do the individual songs. I think that would be a much better tribute than having Zakk massacre the solos.
Dave has never been particularly good at covering drumming that is a significantly different style than his own. He often dumbed down Bostaph's parts when he came back to Slayer. Charlie was one of the ideal choices for this.

It’s a different time at concerts now a lot of people go just to hang out and be seen and they can’t put their phones away for a couple of hours to enjoy the music but for the most part people that are real fans of the band really get into and appreciate it
I'm extremely lucky I got to see the real Pantera, but this is a great and tasteful tribute experience they are doing to not only honor the brothers, but also give some of those that weren't lucky enough to see Pantera when they were still alive a chance to at the very least see the remaining members play the songs live.
Yes, we know it’s not Pantera. We know know Vince felt. We know what happened to Dime, we miss them both. This is a tribute to the brothers, they’re doing this out of love for them.
