This is a flight video containing various scenes including the: taxi, takeoff, approach and landing of flight BA2644 to Malta, Luqa on board, G-MIDS. This flight was delayed about 45 minutes according to the scheduled departure time. This was explained by the captain who informed the passengers that it was due to the original f/o and reserve f/o being sick and unable to attend to their duties. However, a lot of the time was caught up with during the flight. Being seated in 8F for departure really emphasized the powerful roar of the IAE engines when takeoff power was set. The landing on the south-easterly facing runway at Luqa was very smooth, with a fair amount of braking (in fact after arriving at the stand, the 'brakes hot' caution light was illuminated. A very scenic approach into Malta, starting over the island of Gozo before joining with the ILS system over Mellieha.
During the time of recording, this aircraft G-MIDS is just short of 16 years old, making it the fourth oldest A320 in the BA fleet. It was a fairly loud aircraft, particularly where seated on top of the engines. Usually the buzzsaw sound of the engines dissipates by the time you reach cruising altitude, but even at 35,000ft it can still audibly be heard. However, it is nothing really to complain about.
This was my first time flying Club Europe (business class) with British Airways, I was more impressed with the return journey compared to the outbound although the service was nice and the cabin crew were very friendly. In fact, the configuration of Club Europe in this A320 was 9 rows long, a capacity of 36 passengers. There were a few empty seats in this section however.

That plane (fairchild metro) parked at 49:21 crashed 6 days later killing everyone onboard. On your Malta to Gatwick video you could still see the presence of fire trucks at the site of the crash during taxiing. That was a day later after the crash. It is quite amazing that you managed to film all of this.
