- The first canoe trip of the season is always awesome! Camping on crown land on a lake I've never camped on before, with a good friend, made it ever more awesome! We worked around the bad weather in the forecast, enjoyed a blue sky day, lots of tasty food and we both tested out some new gear for the very first time. Add in a gorgeous sunrise, peepers peeping and warm temperatures and I couldn't be happier! Hope you enjoy it!

LOL! The test will be if I actually take it out and use it in the windy conditions. There are several times on my last trip where it was windy and I should’ve been using it and I didn’t. Sometimes you don’t really notice when you’re filming that it’s windy until you’re editing the video after you get home. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment. What an awesome adventure and first over nighter to start the season off, those hash brown poutine would be different for sure looking forward to more backcountry canoe adventures you had some good weather to start it off. Hopefully that wasn't a search and rescue going on with that helicopter I myself was camping crown land and the big orange came in over us heading to someones camp up the road a couple miles, later to find out the fella had a heart attack cutting wood. Really enjoyed this Christina , Unusual for them to fly at night, Beautiful morn. sky.

Is it bug shelter worthy yet? I’m debating for this weekend. 😊 last year they started getting bothersome the last 3 hrs of the trip, but the ice went out earlier here this year so I’m thinking they might be bad this weekend already.
@@CamperChristina they have just started up here by WAWA,,where i live in Elk Lake they are out in full force I would having something with you just to keep things bearable..

Sound is really good on that microphone. Ok, you have never had poutine before? or just that way with the hash browns. I see a lot of canoers and campers use those hash browns to make it because it is so easy to carry. I make that when we go camping in our trailer because it is so yummy. That was such a beautiful sunrise!!!

Last year’s canoe is with Jeff at H2O. I think it’s for sale or was sold? You saw it at the outdoor adventure show at the organic boat shops booth. Lol. It was yellow and black. The one Jenny paddled here is the one I got 4 years ago, and the canoe that I now own. 😊 the plaid one is the one I got at the oas this year to use for 2024. It goes back to h2o at the end of the season.

New mike sounds great! Does it create a file right on your phone with the video or do you have to collect a separate MP3 file?
It’s instant. I just have to get used to using it. There were several moments during this trip I should’ve set it up but I was just too relaxed. Lol. It’s a great little device. You plug a small piece into where you charge your phone. Then it comes with 2 mic’s with clips and a cord to charge it via usb. I like it a lot. I didn’t want to use it too much in case it didn’t work well. Now I know, I’ll try to use it more. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers
