Hoarder House Junk Removal Chicago Dunning Neighborhood

Today we were in the Dunning neighborhood of Chicago cleaning out a hoarder house. We removed 50 yards of clutter but there is at least one more truck load of garbage in the rest of the areas of the house. It looks like there is a beautiful oak wood floor that was protected from all the animal waste by the carpeting for many years. Its a good selling point for a real estate investor!

I guess it is a matter of perspective. If you are real estate investor who bought a house full of junk then clearing out everything and getting the most use out of the dumpster space is a good thing. If you are an antique store owner who sells old items like this then this is bad thing.

I saved all kinds of things from the cleanouts and did Flea Markets for 25 years but the amount of stuff I could sell did not justify the the storage and labor costs of moving the junk. Soon I had a big truck full of stuff that was sitting for most of the year.
