Yes its a big deal for someone who has lived like this for decades! I see a change for the better in a lot of our customers! Its a psychological improvement!

Well everything has a shelf life. Whether its furniture, clothing, household items etc. On most of the jobs that we do the homeowners have done the donations and estate sales before we get there. The house has sold and now its time for everything to be cleared out for the new homeowners. Its the cycle of life and now the house will be recycled.

@@ExtremeCleanoutSolutions I don’t know who they used, but they were pleased with the job. I only found out about this because they messaged me to see if I wanted a couple of items from the cleanout. But, apparently the company ran three trucks, one for resale items, one of donation items and one to haul items to the dump. They wanted as little as possible going to the landfill and they were selling items and donating the procedes.

@@playtimeisdone8490 Interesting it sounds like a fun job! We have loaded Salvation Army trucks and other charities trucks if the customer has them on site. One problem with donations is sometimes the place will reject part or all of the load and then you would be stuck with junk that you have to pay to dump even after you paid movers to load it! We prefer to let the charity take what they want while we are doing the cleanout and then we don't have any surprises.

@@ExtremeCleanoutSolutions Apparently, they had all of that worked out before hamd and the charities were prepared for what was coming. They were passionate and adamant about keeping their contribution to the landfill as small as possible (the wife has taught environment gal science and ecology classes). But, not nearly as fun as watching your crew smash up some classics, Paul!!!

@@groggboy My friends had a recent cleanout of their north Chicago home and employed a company that repurposed virtually everything they no longer wanted or needed. All of these items are sold or being resold (not sure if it is by the removal company or a third party company) and the money raised from these sales is being donated to nearby Lake Forest College. So, my friends get things cleaned out AND they get a tax deduction from this sale and donation of repurposed goods. …and they are extremely happy that they aren’t sending everything to a landfill.

I agree. I saw some beautiful pieces and they are all getting dumped, it's madness when people want for so much in today's society and its just getting destroyed and thrown away like this. Someone else could have used these items.

@@planetmilkshake Do you know that the Salvation Army Resale stores have to dump out a lot of their donations because they don't sell fast enough? There is always a limited amount of space and limited amount of time you can store things before they have to be dumped.

Hey Frank, this is the biggest job of this year but not of all time. My record for one 3 flat in Chicago was 15-50 yard dumpsters 20 years ago. It was a hoarder house packed to the ceilings on all levels including the attic.

These videos are really the best I can do while simultaneously working with the crew loading and packing all the junk. Our priority is always getting the jobs done the videos are just for potential customers to see what we can do for them also.

Hey Frank thanks for the kind words! I was so impressed with what the crew and I accomplished today! Moving huge amounts of junk is our specialty niche!

Yes on this job and many other urban locations we work there is not enough space to set the dumpster on the ground so we load it on top. It requires at least 32 feet of driveway space to drop a 50 yard dumpster

Yea they were very happy but there is always the shame factor in having a relative who is a hoarder. That's part of the reason I get very few reviews even though I have helped thousands of people over the years.

Before there was the internet people had to read paper books. Today they are not as common.

The customer almost died after he got trapped by clutter in his bedroom so this was a wake up call to clear out his living space. There was no time to have a garage sale or donations etc
