If i am not mistaken the whale miss timing every time it is not summoned as chain link 1 because of the "When" on it is text . SInce Zep triggers as soon as it is summoned it is always chan link 1. Shiif and Paces on the other hand are quick effects so if you chain their effects to anything whale will be summoned as chain link 2 or higher and Whale's effect cannot resolve before the rest of the chain and that is why it miss timing,
Ghoti is a sneaky deck because it's actually has good effects amongst its monster except for the level 8 synchro. For spells and traps, they really only have the field spell.
@@MakuraZalis people genuinely don’t know how to play this deck, if you have that level 8 synchro in GY and keep Snopios in hand and keep Zep in either hand or GY for your opponents turn (you could already have a Ghoti play) Snopios can banish both Zep and Askaan and that’s an instant Ghoti on the same turn you’ve already summoned one that’s double non targeting board wipe, gotta know these combos to get it

That’s what happens when an Archtype gets something like Circular. One card combos without a heavy limit are generally a bad idea
