When you play Branded your thought process is "How do I reach Branded fusion or even Mirror Jade with hand?" Unfortunately Masterduel made that a little harder with 1 of the most important Bystials for this being limited for no reason.

It asked me which of the 4 cards would trigger the effect of Despian Comedy. The cards were: A. Albion, the Branded Dragon B. Lubellion, the Searing Dragon C. Fallen of Albaz D. Branded Opening The correct answer is D. Because Despian Comedy's effect activates when it is SENT TO THE GY BY A CARD EFFECT. But the 3 other cards (A, B and C) were all COSTS and not the EFFECT to send to the GY. So what happened in this replay (6:11) is a misplay that is funny, but understandable. Man, these interactions are what makes this game a lot more interesting.
btw i don't think that part was a misplay, he discarded the tragedy as cost for the lubellion's fusion effect, or are you telling me you would have discarded the super poly here instead? And tragedy also has a graveyard effect which recover 1 branded spell or trap in the gy which won't be able to activate if you already used its first effect this turn, so no that def was not a misplay
here's a small branded tip: always discard tragedy if you don't need to use its first effect or have no other good card to discard, because then you can take the advantage of it being in the gy to either: branded in red/or branded banishment with it to fuse off your opponent monster(s), spell/trap recover, or banish it while it in the gy with either red albions fusion effect, branded in red/banishment or any bystial monsters to trigger its first effect later(if you couldn't have triggered its effect in hand).
I have a recommendation, you can add THUNDERDRAGON COLOSSUS on this Deck! It just needs one THUNDRAGON DARK and THUNDRAGON HAWK on the Main Deck, and you can FUSION him with ease! It’s a great going first option that stopgaps your opponent on their first turn!
Am i missing something about branded lost? I thought that the opp cannot activate cards or effects when you fusion summon a monster, but there were 2 times where the opp was able to react. I'm also curious as to what sanctifire dragon does in this build of the deck. Is it just a non targetable bungus who can send one of the ecclesias to grave from the branded fusion or something? I've only ever known sanctifire to be a puppet lock enabler so idk what its other functions are
Branded Lost says “when” so the fusion summon has to be chain link 1 which will then prevent the opponent from responding immediately after summoning, including quick effects like mirrorjade (as long as you are toggled on) even if you have no on-summon effects activating.
Sanctifire has a lot more use than just Puppet lock. I play Branded myself too, and it saved me a lot of matches when Maxx C was thrown into my face when I go first. And the fusion has to be chain link 1 for Lost to be able to prevent response
There were no monsters to attack with? Maximus was already in Defense Position, plus it's the Nadir Servant line, so most of the board is built in the End Phase anyway.
I use rainbow magician instead…not as toxic but definitely annoying and i only use it wen i get maxx c..doesn’t give opponent alot of cards and call by wont make you insta scoop…if opponent dont have any cards to set its gg

Definitely why I wished we had gotten the Albaz scruture deck in Masterduel like the TCG did. It has pretty much every Branded staple needed.

Albion would also trigger as Tragedy activates when sent or *banished* by card effect.

Maybe one day Branded fusion will return to being 2-3 like in the TCG, seems unlikely with how much OCG hates Branded though.

You can revive a albaz to go into a fusion with the opponents card

Fusion summon has to be the last thing in a chain link with Lost so the uploader was kinda fumbling that hard but wasn't getting punished hard for it
